I called to book the Caring for Giants tour and she asked if we were celebrating anything this trip. I tried to say we were celebrating that my son is able to go because he's been sick for 3 years and is showing some improvement and we gave him the choice of going anywhere and he said he wanted to go back to Disney. But it just came out like a blubbering mess. She said she would note on our reservation that he was celebrating a triumph. Then she transferred me to someone to update our magical express and she asked the same question and I lost it again. She said that definitely needs to be celebrated and they would make sure he got a button. Great, now every CM that sees him will ask and I'll be crying the whole trip. LOL.

He got sick 3 years ago and was diagnosed almost 2 years ago with POTS. He has made some improvements over the last 6 months and wants to try to get back to public school next year. So we figured we better get this trip in before he goes back to school.

Great work! keep your chin up and keep doing the awesome work you are doing! I wouldn't see it as a negative constantly being asked, i'd see it as an opportunity to celebrate all the good you have with him and share a little bit of your families love with those around you. I often find a little perspective offered by others does more good to those around you than you realize!

Thank you & have a wonderful time! Godspeed xx

Yay! What a great thing to have to celebrate - and at WDW! Congratulations to you, your son, and your entire family; I hope you all have the best possible trip, and the most possible Magic! :)

:cheer2: for your son and family! I hope you enjoy your trip. As for being a blubbering mess, you can order Kleenex by the case from Amazon. :D

I am so happy for you son and you! My friend has just had a POTS diagnosis, and gosh it is so much to be dealing with. How wonderful that he is at the point where he is able to go to DW.

Thank you! We are excited! We are going to try to encourage him to use a wheelchair and I'm sure he'll be wiped out after, but we are celebrating small victories.

so glad he's feeling better! i have orthostatic tachycardia and my roommate has POTS and we will be going next fall. i hope your son has an AWESOME time!
