Cricut???

I am new to scrapbooking, as I posted in another post, and although there are plenty of questions I have there is 1 that I'll post about because I'm curious now, and we all know that curiosity killed the cat! So anyway, I saw a Cricut at Walmart the other day and above it I saw all of the cartridges....along with the Mickey one! So I'm thinking, I have to find out what this is?!? I googled it and I read what it does, but the problem is that I'm a visual learner so I was reading and really had no idea what was written! So can someone share with me what I need to know, possibly with pics of what you've done?!? Also, can I get some opinions on what a good price would be to pay for the Cricut, I need to know if I should wait for the price to go down or if the one I saw was priced fairly low. TIA

Visually, you can go to Provo Craft's website and there is a video demonstration. As far as price, the smler bug's price is going down since the new Expression (the 12x12 version) came out. Not a lot, but little by little it is going down. Jo-An's online is having a sale on some of the carts & the little bug this week...

This thread has some stuff I made with the cricut expression...same as the small one but can cut bigger things.

In the zebra stuff, I cut the cirlces and squares, in the next set, I cut the jar, bugs, stick, letters, vines. In the next set, the spider and web and tag. If you scroll down, I am pretty sure hopemax cut out at least the leaves with the cricut, not sure what else. If you keep scrolling through the thread you should find others I did, including Minnie in a Cheetah print dress and some dinosaurs.

If you go to the forums at cricut.com, you'll find tons of really fabulous examples! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info!! Wow, the insects with the jar is sooo adorable, all of those are really neat!

ETA: I just went onto the Jo-Ann's website and the Cricut machine that they have on sale is priced at $229.99, well my Walmart has the same machine on sale for $184....so I think I am going to have buy it! I can't promise myself that anything pretty will come out of it, but I can try!! HAHA

Actually, I am cricut-less. The leaves (both big and small) are sizzix dies.

These are not great prices -- ACMoore has it on occasion for $139. This is for the smaller cricut.

Sorry for ginving out bad info Hope! The leaves look pretty similar to my cricut leaves.

That would be really good, but I don't think I have an AC Moore near my home. The closest one I can think of is about an hour away.

these prices are soo good! to get one in the uk the cheapest i've seen is 200 pound and in dollars thats about $400! guess what i'm gettin next time i'm in america! lol! x
