How do you use them? I have the expressions that came with a pack of markers and I haven't quite figured them out yet. I know HOW to use them in the machine, I just haven't figured out what kind of things to do with them, KWIM? Is there a way to draw with the markers, then cut the shape out with the E? I haven't figured out how to cut exactly over the same lines twice yet. Any pictures of projects done using markers? I have finally mastered just cutting things with the Cricut, now I'm ready to get fancy! :thumbsup2

I tried playing with the markers this weekend. I wanted to make a basket from Doodlecharms, but I couldn't get it to work right in CDS. I *think* what you do is put the marker in and hit cut and then hit cut again.

When you have an image you want to outline. Cut it, then hit load paper again, replace the blade with the marker and cut it again. Or I use CDS a lot because it should go back to the same place each time. The key is not to unload the mat between using the blade and the marker. And FYI, I have "cut, then markered,"\ and I have "markered, then cut." Both work.

As for projects, it really helps the animals on the AK cartridge.

Hope, how do you get it to work in CDS? I tried to do the apple basket from Doodlecharms in CDS and it wouldn't make the marks where it appears to be perforated.

Were you trying to weld it to anything? I notice if you weld, then CDS doesn't cut out the definition lines. Otherwise, I don't do anything special. Just click the shape and cut.

I was using a file that someone else had created (deleting the things I didn't need), and yes, weld was on. But, even when I turned it off, it still wouldn't draw them. I think I'll try it again, with a brand new document. I like that I can change the width and height in CDS, so I find I'm using it more and more!

Thanks for the tip!

I love using the markers, it gives the die cut definition. I learned to use the marker first then cut but then I don't use DS.

How cool is that! I have the regular Cricut machine and thought about buying the markers. Anyone use the markers and the personal cutting machine?

I have the small personal cricut and still use the markers. :thumbsup2
