cricut cutting thru DCWV sticky border papers

I bought these yesterday and wasn't thinking when I bought them. I want to cut out numbers from them and they have a thick backing. They are 2 by 12 inches and I want to cut 1 1/2 inch numbers from them. Any ideas? I was thinkinking that since the paper is the same thickness as usual, I would use the same setting since it doesn't have to cut thru the backing paper.
