Cricut Cartridges

My first was Doodlecharms...I wanted the ice cream cone for a swap. Then I got Jasmine, not as thrilled, and rarely use it.

I have others, but my next one will be Beyond Birthdays... My used all the time... Teardorp, George, Doodlecharms, Animal Kingdon...

I used the Christmas Cheer for my card classes...

I LOVE:love: the new Mickey and Friends cart. Amazing, and recommended for any DIS maniac like I am...

Happy Birthday, Holly! I'll be 30! It's a big year for us!

I just realized that today is only Monday...I don't turn 50 until Wednesday!!!! Yippee! One more day in my 40's. I can't believe I was rushing it! LOL!

Happy Birthday, Shauna! Hope you have a great day!

that I've made the right choice -- I purchased the Cricut and now I'm having second thoughts -- I've nosed around the website and saw such wonderful work, but when I look at the boxes I just don't see how it can possibly be easy to use (to make the wonderful layouts I saw) -- is it going to be ok??

TIA-
Brenda

My favorite is Opposites Attract because it's so versatile. But my second favorite is Zoo Balloo, mostly because of the card feature. My 2 and 3 year old helped me make 10 Easter cards this weekend in no time flat. AND it has a Happy Birthday card on it! :thumbsup2

Of course, I haven't receive my 2 Disney cartridges yet.

I also love Tags, Bags, Boxes---great to make little shopping bags for gift cards and Printing Press--it's a really cool, funky font that I've found works great to jazz up a page.

I'll admit that for me it was tricky getting started. I got so frustrated! But I'm glad I stuck with it. What helped me was cutting a few things off of the cart that you have to sort of get the feel for sizing. I also was really looking at the Cricut website to get ideas of what to make and how to make it really look great. Now I love it. You'll get the hang of it! :thumbsup2

I had second thoughts while in the checkout line.. DH just knew I would regret it if I didn't buy it... I came home and had to really take my time and remember "practice makes perfect"... I used the Disney shape cart last night and made some templates for my kids and DH to see..and they loved it.. I layed them out on a page and the kids thought they were amazing.. I find myself at night thinking.. Wow, that would be cute if I could remember to bring "Sweet" on patterend paper in a size 4 font and than "Dreams" in an accent color solid paper in a size 2 on the border of a nap page... Now, to remember to try it tonight and post how it looks.. The opportunitites are endless.. Just toying around the other day I made w/ Tags, Bags, and More cart.. I made a crayon box!

It will be okay!!! ;)

Our local JoAnn's is one of those really small stores that doesn't carry very much for scrapbooking. Yesterday I went to a Joann's Etc. store that is about 30 minutes away. They were selling the cartridges for $65 and allowed me to use a 40% off coupon on them!!! She said she would take either the Joann's coupon or the Micheals! Unfortunately they had very little left, so my friend bought Jasmine and I bought Stamped. I can't wait til they get more cartridges in so that I can take advantage of the price again!

that's how it will be for me. i get frustrated easily. i'll have to just remember that it takes time to learn how to use it.

Those are darling! How did you get the shadow on Pluto?

TPCShauna - if you mean at the bottom of Pluto it is just a shadow caused by the camera. All around Pluto you have a small black shadow but on the very bottom the camera added a larger shadow at this feet. :goodvibes
