Do any of the resorts offer a regular crib instead of just a pack-n-play? Also, does anyone know if the Mears shuttle from the airport has car seats available?

Well, if you catch the bus (we've seen them running through the resorts)--no car seat b/c no place to put it. Van's, I am not sure on.

I'm trying to remember all of my stays--and not sure on the cribs either. Any objection on using a pack and play? Other than bending over to put the baby in (which we did with our regular crib anyway b/c the drop down side made wayyy to much noise)--our children have slept comfortably in them.

Poly has a small wooden crib... or at least they did when my niece was a baby and we shared a room. Probably only the resorts with a little bigger rooms will, because of the size. Not as bit as a full sized crib, but bigger than a Pack n Play.

I asked prior to our last stay (during hurricane Jeanne) if any of the resorts had a regular sized crib and the answer was no, just pack-n-plays. Since neither my DS or DD would get an ounce of sleep in a pack-n-play we used alternatives for both transportation (with car seats) and cribs. We have used them several times with no problems at all. If you want the info, just PM me.

We've seen cribs being rolled into OKW, so either Disney rents them to guests OR there's a local crib rental place near Disney.

Thanks to everyone. This information is for my sister-in-law who is taking her children to Disney for the first time. Since I don't have any children (yet) I wasn't able to help her. I will pass this on to her.

It's very unusual for a hotel to have actual cribs as well/and/or pack n plays. usually its just pack n plays. There's a reason for that. Because they are cheaper and much easier to move with much smaller storage space.

If you want an actual crib, ask the hotel you are going to or bring one of your own.

You can rent a crib from A Baby's Best Friend ( www.abbf.com ) They will deliver it to your resort; but you have to set it up yourself. We're renting from them for our next trip. I've heard really good things about them. HTH-Dana:D

We have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin (between Beach Club/Yacht Club and Boardwalk Inn in the Epcot area), and they have metal cribs that are slightly smaller than regular size cribs. They are actually "heavenly cribs" with wonderful bedding like the Heavenly Beds.

If you have at least 4 people, I would highly recommend using a town car service. I think it works out to be just a little more expensive than Mears. Tiffany Town Car does have a car seat and it includes a free grocery stop.

we were just at the BC and they brought us a "regular crib" -- it was white iron and smaller than a regular crib. when he brought it he asked if we would prefer a pack n play to which i said yes :)
SO ... they do have both options at the beach club :)

hope that helps!

ALSO ... i actually saw someone with their kid in a carseat on a regular disney bus -- going to the MK for example -- so i guess anything is possible. we used a towncar and they had 2 carseats in there for us :)
