are there cribs available at the OKW resort?
We know there are pack n plays but our grandson is a year old and a little too big for them

I've never seen cribs at OKW. You can rent one from an outside company, but they would have to haul it up the stairs. Most of the buildings at OKW don't have an elevator.

We had a crib at OKW last year. It's not a quite full size crib, but it is a little bigger than a pack and play. The mattress was not too thick and it rested on a plywood platform. We were in a Grand Villa and on the second floor and the crib was waiting for us when we got there. They also provided a thin crib sheet but I can't remember if they also provided a mattress pad...

Nope, DVC resorts do not offer any cots. You get the sleeping spaces you pay for and that is all.

As for the crib, if they do have them, they are on a first come, first served basis. So if you want a guarantee of a crib, you'll need to order one from an offsite company.

We have rented a crib from an outside company 2x before and had no problems. We did bring our own bedsheets although those were provided.

We have gotten a crib twice at SSR, once at BLT and once at VWL. Never have had a problem - requesting it on the reservation and then called when we got in the room. Of course that was always during non-peak times.
As a back up option, you might want to look at getting a portable air mattress like the ones they have at onestepahead.com. They are raised on the sides so they can't roll out. We used one of those one time at a hotel and always had it as a back up at the resorts in case.
