Our first trip with DD will be this September!! She will be 18 months old and we will need a crib/pack-n-play in the room for her. We are still trying to decide whether to stay at the GF or Poly, but I'm guessing the room size at both places is similar.

I'm trying to think back to all the rooms we've stayed in before and figure out where there would be space for a crib, but there doesn't seem to be any?? Where do they typically put them? Do they move furniture - like a couch or table or dresser out to fit it in?

Any advice is appreciated!!!

Thanks!!! Amy

We have stayed at both GF and Poly and had a FULL size crib from A Baby's Best Friend and been just fine with space. We did not move anything around so you should be fine with a pack and play as they are much smaller.

I have to tell you it was nice having the real crib with the full mattress. ABBF was wonderful, and their equipment is very nice and clean. You are a lucky one that your DD can sleep in a P&P!

Have a great time. . . that is such a fun age!

Boy, if you are going to spend the money on GF or Poly, I'd consider getting a one-bedroom at one of the DVC properties. That will give you a much more comfortable vacation!

For our next trip we will probably stay at the Beach Club Villas (seriously thinking about becoming DVC members!), but with DD being so young this time and this being a short trip - 5 days - we really want to be on the monorail.

If the rooms are similar to WL you will have plenty of room. We had one during our trip to WL in Octomer of 2004. Our room had a king bed and the pack n play was between the TV cabinet and the closet with lots of room in between. Plenty of room to walk around without bumping into it too. We rarely watch TV on vacation so there was no issue about keping our DS up at night.

What a coincidence, we're going in Sept also and our ds will also be 18 months. We'll be at CBR and planning to use a pack n play.

Have fun!

We took our 8 mo. old in Oct. to the Poly and used one of their cribs. I was surprised it was a real crib, with wooden rails/spindles. I thought they gave you a pack & play. The lady from housekeeping set it up right between the bed and the wall to the bathroom - said it was better there than towards the middle of the room under the a/c vent. There was no room to walk on that side of the bed, but it was OK. We just had a hard time cuz my son wasn't sleeping thru the night, and he didn't fall asleep too easily while seeing the rest of us in the room. We're staying at the Contemporary in May and I'll try to put the crib by the door, in front of the bathroom, so maybe he won't see us as much. Its definitely worth it to be on the monorail.

Have fun!

We stayed at the GF and rented a full size crib from A Babys Best Friend. My 18 month old is to big for a pack and play. There were several places in the room that we could have put the crib and would have had plenty of room. It was out of the way and worked perfectly.
