My niece and family will be at Disney World while we are, and at the same Resort. I would like to have the kids stay with us one night so my niece and her husband could have a night out. One of the kids will be 1 year old, would I be able to ask for a crib for one night? I know there would be a charge, but wasn't sure if they allowed us to ask for one since they are not on our room reservation. Thank you for guidance.

Same resort you said? If you call and get them to join the reservations (I think they called it a 'travel with' when we did ours) you could then request adjoining/adjacent rooms. With that, it would be easy enough to just move their pack and play/crib to your room if needed if you don't want to deal with making the request to the hotel for another pack and play/crib.

Thank you. Good suggestion, that we may end up doing. Right now though, we are a Preferred Room (older, don't want food and bus to far away haha) and they are Standard (on a tighter budget). We'll keep this in mind though.

They accommodated us for that same situation at the Pop Century back in '14. We booked preferred, the other family was standard, and the ask for adjoining got them next to us in our preferred room. Of course, nothing's guaranteed but doesn't hurt to ask.

Just be aware that adjoining/adjacent does NOT necessarily mean connecting.

If you are wanting a door in between the rooms so you can move freely between them (agreed that I do not know that this is possible for preferred/standard) you need to request CONNECTING rooms.

If you are ok with them being around the corner, across the hall (in interior corridors resorts), diagonal, or next to but no door between them, then you are fine requesting ADJOINING or ADJACENT rooms.

A lot of people don't understand that and then get upset that their adjoining rooms are not connected. The terms are not interchangeable in the travel industry. Adjoining and adjacent, yes. Adjoining/adjacent and connecting, no.

Awesome!! Thank you!!! We will try that then. May not happen, but WOW! that is a good feeling to know that might be a possibility. That would make moving the crib a super easy option! Thank you!!

Thank you for the clarification. What you say makes sense. I understand. I think as long as they were on the same floor, we could still move the crib/pack 'n play fairly easily. Thank you so much!!
