Anyone know if you can sit at the bar in the Crew's Cup and order a full meal from the Yachtsman's menu??

UncleR ... we were in Crew's Cup a few times last month on our most recent WDW trip and the bartender said you can order from the Yachtsman menu until 10PM. We actually saw a couple of steaks being delivered to people one night.

I imagine the proper thing to do would be to NOT make reservations at Yachtsman, but just go to the Crew's Cup lounge, sit at the bar and then order.
I was thinking that if we made reservations at Yachtsman and then asked to sit at the bar, it would be awkward since technically the bar isn't inside the restaurant itself....

Now you've gone and done it! Everyone will know. Yes, on several occasions we have gone to the lounge and asked for items on the restaurant menu, which were promptly delivered.

I was sorely tempted to do this in a couple weeks, if I didn't eat in the bar at Todd English's bluezoo™ the night in question. PNO4TE mentioned eating there in October, and it sounded appealing!

I have heard it is not a full menu, but they do have a limited menu with selections from Yachtsmans, including some steaks. Last I looked, that menu was posted on www.disneyworld.com/restaurants on Yachtsman's page, along with Yachtsman's regular menu, under Additional Offerings Menu.

Of course this does not mean that you can't ask for other dishes from the regular Yachtsman's menu - no idea about that one. Would like to go over there and try their cheese platter though.

We have done this many times ... especially YS artisanal cheese plate and lobster bisque. Also we have ordered wine from YS wine list versus the current Disney generic lounge wine list.

Makes you wonder though...same kitchen, same number of steps from point A to point B...$ all headed to the same place....what's the diff?

The Crew's Cup Lounge is my husband's favorite place on Disney property. He thinks Sean the bartender is the best! We go there often to take a break and have a drink.

On the menu issue, normally you can order off a limited steakhouse menu that I believe somebody posted. It seems that sometimes, they offer the full menu. This happened to us on my husband's birthday, oddly enough. I think it was a slow day, and (surprise!) the waitress who brought our drinks informed us about the full menu offering. It was a perfect birthday surprise for my husband, since we'd just planned on drinks and appetizers!

Still wondering tho why--if you can get get some of the Yachtsman menu at the Crews Cup-- why not all of it (as with your dinner)?
Unless they don't want to draw too many customers away from the main restaurant??
Anyway, we're going to do dinner at the bar at the Crew's Cup and we shall see what we shall see!!!

I didn't realize Crew's Cup was serving things from YSH now. Some years ago, several items from the YC Galley were offered. We enjoyed popping in for a sandwich, burger or steak. When they stopped offering those things I did think it was that they didn't want to draw away patrons for the Galley.
