I bought a certificate for 5 nights at Crestwood Suites on President Dr. off of Sandlake near the Florida Mall. I have searched the web for a few days and only found one review. The review said it was a dump! No housekeeping, you have to take out your trash, the sheets are not the right size, etc... Anyone been there? I only paid $100 or $20/night and it is supposed to have a frig, cooktop and microwave.

this place is absolutely disgusting!! I believe my "almost stay" with them was Memorial Day weekend 2002. I wasnt impressed with this place during check in but decided to go on up to the room to check it out. The whole staff appeared to be teenagers right down to the 14-15 year old looking boy that was seen delivering towels to a room when I was waiting to check in. The "manager" looked all of 19 years old. She was the person that checked me in & had commented on how she just "cleaned" my room for me.

Anyway, on to the nasty room. When I walked into the room I noticed the stains all over the carpet & all over the little couch looking thing. Looked like beer or soda or what ever had been spilled all over the place and allowed to dry & never tried to have cleaned up. The refridgerator door was nasty dirty with handprints of dirt all over the handle. oh & the smell.....gross!!!! I immediately told my daughter we are NOT staying here & we were going to look for another hotel to stay at. I stupidly left my stuff in the hotel instead of immediately checking out before going to look for another hotel because I was afraid since it was a holiday weekend I wouldnt be able to find a vacancy & couldnt get the smell from the room out of my luggage. Before walking out, just for confirmation on that I wouldnt even want to sleep one night in this place, I pulled back the sheets on the bed & there was quite a bit of hair weave pieces of hair on both the beds. The towels in the bathroom didnt even look like they had been changed. Also, this whole hotel allows pets of any size in every room so you can imagine what your room might be like after staying behind someone that had just stayed there with a pet. The people that checked in before us had a large size golden retriever with them.

All in all, this seems to be like the kind of hotel that traveling construction workers would stay in on extended stays & dont care how filthy dirty they are when they come in & therefore dont care how dirty a room would be to sleep in.

PLEASE PLEASE do not stay here, this is the absolute worse place I have ever walked in & out of out of all my stays in Orlando. I ended up driving over to HWY 192 & stayed at the Comfort Suites at Old Towne paying double what I was paying at the Crestwood Suites, I would have gladly paid triple just to be able to get out of there!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I had a feeling that it was too good to be true. It will be just me and the kids though. They don't know any better. We can pretend we are camping or something. I can split the 5 days by staying at the Hard Rock for a night in the middle. I hate to throw $100 away.

maybe you can ebay your certificate?

I am a single mom (have been since my daughter was born-she is now 10) & honestly, I moved because this place was so bad, the type of clientele that I saw while checking in (people walking around the halls with no shoes on, dirty cut off shorts, no shirts with open beer bottles in their hands, people hanging out in the parking lot drink beer leaning against their old pick up work trucks, low wage construction worker types) & walking back & forth to the rooms along with the ages of people that worked here, I dont think you would even feel the least bit safe staying here. I understand not wanting to throw away money, being a single mom on single income (no child support ever) that it would be hard to throw $100 away if you couldnt even sell your certificate but look at it like this, would you risk the safety of your children & yourself for $100?

If you stay here, move to the Hard Rock for a day or so, you would definately not want to go back. Maybe you can find a good deal on a hotel closer to Universal where the $100 isnt even really missed. is your certificate good at any crestwood hotel? maybe you can use it in another city? is it absolutely positively non refundable?
