I bought the Crest Whitening strips to try out. Has anyone used these before and did it work?

I do have a question for those that have used these, I didn't see in the instructions if you are supposed to rinse your mouth out after you take them off? I know that sounds like a silly question but I really have no idea-lol

I've used them, and they do work up to a point. They'll remove tea stains from my teeth, for example, but don't really help with the yellowing that comes with age. I think you have to go the professional route to get truly white teeth.

I've had more noticable results from using the crest night effects, though I hate waking up with that paste smeared all over my teeth.
I always rinse my mouth out after finishing either treatment.

I have to rinse as I can't stand leaving that little bit of goop on my teeth.

FYI - crest white strips should come with a tube of Sensodyne (sp?) toothpaste. get a tube - trust me!

these work WONDERFULLY! I love the "premium plus" version. work insanely well.
do not brush your teeth first - apply strips, wait a half hour, remove, rinse, then apply again if you want (if you do this - your teeth might get super sensitive..so I suggest waiting a few hours before reappling - or just do 1 half hour session a day)

DD (18) got these, and I was very skeptical. Boy, was I wrong. I was amazed at the difference.

She got them a few days after she had been to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned. The dentist's cleaning didn't change the looks of her teeth much, but the Crest strips sure did.

She did comment on her teeth being a little bit sensitive though (as Stinkerbelle commented on - I didn't think about the Sensodyne, that was a good idea).

It's been a couple of months now, and they still look great!

DD asked her ortho about whitening. Her braces came off over a year ago, but she has never been happy with how dull they look. He recommended the White Strips, did say to wait until AFTER she had her next cleaning. That was last week, she has not ttried the strips yet, but she does have sensitive teeth to begin with, so now I wondering if they are going to be more harm than good!

I have tried them three times. I tried the 14 day kit once and the 10 day kit once, and they both showed results (not amazing, but definitely whiter). Both times I stopped using them about 3/4 of the way through because of how sensitive my teeth got.
I tried the 7 day kit once and I didn't see any results.
Yes, rinse your mouth- yucky taste!!! :crazy2:

Just an FYI, they wont whiten anything other than 'real' teeth. I have had rebuilds on quite a few of my teeth, and they are not capable of whitening any of it....
