Creme Brulee seems to be on the menu for many Disney Restaurants. I'm not sure if I would like it. Could you tell me what it is like? Does it have the consistency of pudding(then I might like it)? Thanks

Yes, mostly the consistency of a really creamy pudding. The brownish stuff on top is crunchy - it's where they flame it & the sugar carmelizes to make a very, very thin crispy topping. Plain creme brulee would be like very rich vanilla pudding...but many of the Disney versions have added layers...like the one at Kona has a creamy chocolate fudge layer on the bottom (Dee-LISH!) or they have a dollop of berries/sauce on the top. Haven't had a bad one yet at Disney. Here'e the pic of the banana creme brulee at Kona Cafe

I was looking at the menus and planning out what I might have and I swear 6 of my TS places all have creme brulee. I might just eat them all ;)

Though I do not like my brulee all dressed up. Id like a straight up brulee with a little something on the side. I say that now but Ill still order that chocolate one from Kona and probably love it.

The caramel Creme Brulee at Coral Reef was amazing!!! It was the first time trying any kind...so awesome :) Like a warm pudding.

Agree, totally agree!!! mmmm creme brulee is sooooo good and the ones at disney are even better. I've had it at Coral reef, Le cellier and sunshine seasons (CS) in epcot both very good as well.

Ok, sorry to OP but I'm hijacking your thread a little :)

Is it supposed to be cold? I had it for the first time at Chefs de France in Jan and it was served cold which seemed odd to me. Was this a mistake or do they serve it like that there on purpose?

Ok ...I will be minority here but I don't like creme brulee :scared:
and don't if is has something to do that where I'm from we loved flan that is has more consistency ...I love flan!

The absolute best creme brulee on property is at Artist Point...

rosemary...it is outstanding.

I've always had it room temperature or on the colder side (but not TOO cold). Too warm and it gets runny, too cold and you can't taste the flavor of the custard as well. I like it best room temp with a freshly brulee'd top that's warm and crunchy. Mmmm mmm good!! :thumbsup2

Maybe it was from the brulee being warm or sitting in a warm kitchen...it wasn't hot, but I think it wouldn't have tasted nearly as good completely cold.

The only warm creme brulee I have ever had..was runny and we didn't eat it..didn't want to get sick!

This is a custard like dessert and should never be warm.

Maybe it was warm because it was freshlly blazed on top with a torch? Not necessarily the custard part?

Join the club. There is something about it that I just dont like.

That sounds good--I will probably like it...maybe that's not a good thing:laughing:

Try it, you might find your newest addiction! :rotfl2:

Prior to our first Disney trip I was able to live without Creme Brulee, Rosa Regale and dining plan ADRs. Oh the horror....

Another purist here ... don't mess with my creme brulee! I just want the straight stuff, maybe with some vanilla bean. I did like the maple creme brulee at Le Cellier, and Chefs de France does a good job. Room temperature seems about right to me.

I had creme brulee cheesecake on a Disney Wonder cruise last year. Two favorites in one place. Glory be!

BUT, if the creme brulee they have at Shula's over at the Dolphin is anything like the creme brulee I had at Shula's in Indianapolis last year - holy cow. That's the benchmark for me, and the fact it was served in a shallow bowl the size of a hubcap didn't hurt, either.
