In your opinion - what is the best creme brulee on property and why? So far my favorite is the plain ole creme brulee (no extra flavorings in it) from the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

What do you guys think??

I tend to lean towards the plain vanilla flavored creme brulee too, usually found at the Yachtsmen.... but Fultons Crab House over on Pleasure Island has a to-die-for milk chocolate creme brulee, so I find myself very torn. :lmao:

I guess there are worse things to be torn about right? :p

Le Cellier's Maple Creme Brulee. Shoot, now I am hungry! ;)

Does this just have a hint of maple or is it strong like maple syrup or maple candy?

I don't care much for strong maple flavoring, but everyone seems to think this Creme Brulee is outstanding. I'm considering trying it on my next trip since Le Cellier doesn't seem to offer any desserts that really appeal to me (like cheesecake). If it's a very strong maple flavor though, I'll just stick to the whiskey cake even though it sounds kind of boring.

I love the Orange Creme Brulee at Seasons in Epcot!

I agree, the Maple Creme Brulee at Le Cellier is very good. I've only had it once, but I think? that the maple syrup is mixed into the 'creme' part of it. I don't remember it being too over-powering.

I cannot make a decision between the Banana Creme Brulee at Kona or the Pistachio Creme Brulee at Jiko....they are both heavenly!!!

The maple at le Cellier was great, especially with the sliced strawberry garnish. The banana creme brulee at Kona was also Super, lots of good crackle on top !!!

This might be a stupid question  but, is creme brulee usually served warm or cold??? I've only had it twice and once was warm and once was cold. Thanks! :hmghost:

There are No stupid questions! Creme brulee can be served either hot, cold or often at room temperature. It sets up during the cooking, then the top is usually sprinkled with a sugar or syrup, then basically blow torched. (My son loves doing this at the restaurant he works at) This results in the crispy topping. Sometimes they are then stored in the fridge, which makes the whole thing cold (still tasty), and the top becomes less crunchy.

I haven't tried the one at Jiko yet (but I plan to in 20 days!!) so my favorite is the Double Vanilla Creme Brulee from Brown Derby. It comes with a gingersnap sugar stick - YUM!!!!

I knew I shouldn't have posted this thread ---- now I want creme brulee :teeth:

Anybody else have any favorites??

My plan is to sample the creme brulee at each Disney restaurant (not all in one trip though!). Creme brulee is my all-time FAVORITE dessert hands down! I thought the maple in the creme brulee at Le Cellier was a little strong for my taste, but it didn't stop me from eating every bite! LOL!

JuneChickie - Creme brulee is a custard made with eggs and cream & vanilla flavoring usually, though Disney has many variations... But the best part is the caramelized sugar "crust" on the top of the custard! :) It is divine! :)

And it's VERY easy to make at home too! Don't laugh, but I sometimes treat myself to creme brulee for breakfast! Such a life! :cloud9:

:lovestruc LOVE the Maple one from Le Cellier and the plain one from Victoria and Albert's is to die for. My husband nearly cried when he couldn't finish his--V&A isn't exactly a place to ask for a doggy bag!

I had a Key lime one at Brown Derby. But my all time Favorite was at Emeril's at City Walk-it was a Creme Brulee sampler!! Expresso, Rasberry Tapicoa, & Chocolate with little homemade cookies. :cloud9:

I LOOOOVED the Double Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee at the Brown Derby!! All those beans..... *drool*

I never knew the greatness of creme brulee until I ate it at the world. Now I know!

That is it, you all have made up my mind for me. I will have to eat at Le Ceiller during our next trip. My niece was watching a cooking show with me, and when she saw the creme brule, said that she had to have some. :rotfl2: She is only 5, but she has good taste. I was torn between Le Ceiller and Italy, and now I know which one to choose! :goodvibes
