Creme Brulee

I had a creme brulee at Sunshine Seasons that was wonderful with just a hint of citrus (I think Orange).

I also had the butterscotch creme brulee that was VERY good but it was at Tony's Town Square in MK!

I had pistachio creme brulee at Jiko. YUM! DH had the tropical fruits creme brulee at Citrico...excellent! Is there such a thing as bad creme brulee?

but it had the potential to be great. A few year back while dinning at the Brown Derby they had a blueberry vaniila bean version. The only problem is instead of carmelizing the sugar it was burnt and when i nicely ask for a new one they proceeded to tell me that it was suppose to be that way. So i tried eatting it with the top remove and the custard had no vanilla flavor or any flavor most custards do. This was not my first creme brulee so i knew this was wrong and i would have ask to talk to a manager but it was a family vacation with my inlaws and my neice and nephews first trip and because of slooow service we needed to get to the fantasmic show. So it can happen.

Last trip our favorite was the maple creme brulee at le cellier

we also had the banana carmamel at Kona - loved the bananas but the custard was a little too much like jello instant pudding for my taste.

We had the pistachio/chocolate at Jiko. I wish I'd remember I don't like pistachio...it might have been good.

Same thing the previous year with the key lime creme brulee at Narcoosees. Might have been good, don't know, I thought the key lime was far too sweet - but then I don't like key lime, don't know why I ordered it!

By far the VERY best creme brulee is the white chocolate creme brulee at Portabello Yacht Club. It has shavings of white chocolate on top!
Also, the creme brulle at Alferdo's in Italy,not sure of what kind though.

I don't particularly care for maple but, thought LeCellier's was pretty good.

Don't know if it's a regional preference but, anyone else think the brulees @ WDW are a bit too sweet?

My absolute favorite was on the Disney Wonder....had 2 every night...still walking it off!!!
In Epcot I have to agree with the Le Cellier CB.....to die for!!!!

Finally a thread for me!!! Subscribing......

Only one I've tried at WDW is the ginger creme brulee at Noodle Station. I guess it was a fast food version. But, it hit the spot and I enjoyed it.

As we only have 31 days left, that is all the time I have to Map out the Creme Brule frenzy around the world.

On our Spring Break trip I tried the Creme brulee at Coral Reef and the French Bakery at Epcot.

Coral Reef Creme brulee was around $8.00 it was served with a few raspberries and one strawberry. It was a bit too burnt tasting for my liking.
I will give it a 7 on the 'yummy scale' (Ten being Ohhhh my goodness better than $%*)!


I liked the consistency of the of the French Bakery one, VERY creamy and for half the price I give it a 9.5 on a scale of ten. (knocked off . 5 for presentation, it is served in a foil pan).

I had "tropical" creme brulee at Citricos and it was very good. I had the banana creme brulee at Kona. I didn't care for it as much. The bananas had that real overripe taste.

Vanilla crème brulee on the left, caramelized rice pudding and up side down caramel cream, Vanilla yogurt sorbet

It was SUPER creamy and the carmel had just the right "burnt" sugar flavor

The "upside down carmel cream (3rd from left) was also DELICIOUS.... slight variation on brulee....where brulee is more custard, this was closer to pudding but out of this world

I loved the Creme Brulee @ Le Cellier. I was surprised I liked the Maple flavor, but I really did. Also had great Creme Brulee @ Concourse Steakhouse and somehwere @ the Grand Floridian. Forget the name of that place??

Tony's at the MK has a pumpkin one. OH MY GOSH!!! It was my favorite, even though it sounds like an odd flavor.
