Creme Brulee...where can we find it?

The Pistachio Creme Brulee at Tony's was really good. It came with a side of really good pistachio nuts with some sort of sweet candyish coating.

We were able to get the creme brulee at Wolfgang Pucks as part of our counter service meal on the dining plan in mid Sept. They must have just changed it recently.

We were just there late last week and there was butterscotch creme brulee at Cali Grill and pistachio creme brulee with a chocolate bottom at Jiko. We ordered it only at Jiko. One word: delish!!!! I highly recommend it.

Creme Brulee is a custard dessert (Egg, cream, etc!).....in plain form it has a vanilla flavor, but many of the WDW restaurants add flavors like citrus or banana or maple, etc. Then they add a layer of sugar on top and blowtorch it, creating a crispy sugar coating on top :)

It is soooooo good - some better than others. The custard should be very creamy.

I found this photo on google:

I still have dreams about the double vanilla bean creme brulee from the Brown Derby from like 3 years ago :lmao:

If you like custards or flan, you will love creme brulee :)

Thanks! Hmmm, sounds yummy! But, what is it like texture wise? Like pudding? I like pudding! Or is it more like the custard you get in like a long john at the bakery? That I really don't care for. And, the different flavorings such as chocolate, butterscotch, vanilla - this is the creamy? The sugery coating on top definitely sounds good! I suppose we will have to try it when we aren't too excited about another dessert! Oh, and do you eat them warm or cold, or either?

Creme Brulee is much more like custard than pudding. I don't like custard but I love Creme Brulee. I can't even explain why. And when it is well made there is nothing like it.

Has anyone tried the Soarin' Orange Creme Brulee at the Fountainview Bakery? That sounds yummy! If it's there when I get back to Disney, I will have to try it!

I love the Maple Creme Brulee at Le Cellier..very yummy! I've had the creme brulee at Chefs De France and Kona and they are good, but not even close to Le Cellier. I had a little bite of DH's pistachio creme brulee at Jiko and thought it was surprisingly good. I'm not a big pistachio fan, but this was delicious. I will try Wolfgang Puck next time too.

I just had the Creme Brulee at the Coral Reef 2 weeks or so ago and it is very yummy!! That was my second time getting it there (actually I don't think I have tried it anywhere else but want to) and it was great both times.

I am sad to here that Creme Brulee is gone from Wolfgang Puck on the DDP. That was actually great Creme Brulee. Le Cellier has great creme Brulee, it is a little thin so the whole thing get warm when it is fired, and it is supposed to be a little cooler towards the bottom, but that is ok, it is still amazing!

I was getting nervous because the earlier posts were not mentioning California Grill. They have the Best! Creme brulee.

It is great at the Wolfgang Puck's at the Marketplace, but FYI it is no longer accepted as a dessert on the dining plan.
bummer.

interesting! I got it while we were there this past September! Very good!

Can anyone describe creme brulee? I see it on the menus and read of many who rave about it, such as from Le Cellier, but have never had it and unsure of what it tastes like and what the texture is like. Can anyone tell me about that, and does the taste remind you of anything other dessert? Thanks! :)

Eggs, Cream and Sugar are the 3 ingredients of Creme Brulee. The etxture is like a custard with a hard sugar on top.

Slightly off topic, but creme brulee is really easy to make at home even without a torch (just use your broiler). If he loves it enough to plan part of his vacation around, you should learn to make it.

Chefs De France, the French Bakery and Yachtsman Steakhouse are my three favorite places to get Creme Brulee! I hadn't seen anyone mention Yachtsman, and OMG it is SO good there!

The best I've ever had is still at Chefs De France though and the serving is HUGE. When our server put it in front of me I thought he was joking! :goodvibes

You can get creme brulee at the France Food & Wine booth.

Yachtsman Steak House also has Creme Brulee.

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone. I think he will be able to find him some creme brulee.
