credit when the price drops???

I know that Southwest will issue you a credit in the difference if your ticket price drops after you buy it and you re-buy at the lower price. Right now however they are quite a bit more expensive than other carriers for us. Does anyone know if other airlines issue this type of credit? I am specifically interested in AirTran as well. Thanks

Most airlines do not.

Or, more precisely, most airlines do but also charge you a change fee typically between $25. and $100. per ticket. So you usually don't gain anything.

Better to wait for a fare sale rather than buy at their everyday low price.

Jetblue will issue u a credit on their account..which you can use up to a year from the date of credit...
We were issued a credit of 150 dollars when our flights went down from 119 and 129 to 79 and 104 respectively... they will not issue it to the original card, just to a credit of their own

They will only do this for an exact rebooking, including the number of people in your travel party. If your original flight reservations were for 4, and they only have 3 seats left at the lower price, they will not give you the credit.
