There are 4 of us going, with 2 people in each room. Each person will have 15 dining credits. How does this work with the dining plan? When we go for meals, do we have to ask the server to give us all separate checks? Do they just withdraw 4 credits off who ever hands them their room key? Am being told one thing from one Disney Dining CM, then something completely different from a different CM.

WDW-DINE CMs are pretty much useless for anything other than reservations. Since that's really the extent of their jobs.

If you're all on the same reservation, you can use 1 card for all 4 people, otherwise you will need separate checks and each room will need to present 1 card for each pair of meals.

If both rooms are the same reservation number then they will likely be all together on each card. If they are separate reservations, each room will have to present a card.

Perfect. Thank you very much for your quick responses. :worship: That was how it was when I went a few years ago. There are 4 adults, but in 2 rooms. My understanding is that all of the dining credits are put in one big pile per room, so that it did not matter which person gave their room key to have the correct amount withdrawn.

One cast member said that for each meal, all 4 of us would have to give our room keys and, hopefully, they only charge one meal per person. Hopefully?

Again, WDW-DINE operators are not a reliable source of information on how DDP works.

Once you check in, your KTTW cards will indicate in the lower left corner either 2A/0C or 4A/0C, depending on whether or not both rooms are on the same reservation. If it's the latter, then all of the credits are pooled, and any one card can be used to pay for meals and snacks. If it's the former, then one card from each room will need to be presented, and the system will prevent them from charging more than 2 meals per card.

You can double check after each meal on the bottom of your receipt that they charged the correct number of meals, too. It will show you how many meal credits you have left. If you had 15 (x4) and you ate a meal, it should show that you have 56 in total left, for example.
