Credit Cards for dues

I read an earlier thread indicating that MS accepts credit cards for dues payments. The thread implied that the dues would need to be paid in one lump sum if using a credit card.

Just want to know if this is the case, or if you can set up an "auto debit" to your credit card. I have been able to do this for some insurance payments and would ideally like to do it here.

Thanks

If you pay your dues monthly the only way for them to be paid is by an auto debit to your checking/savings account. If you pay your dues yearly in one lump sum, you must call member accounting every year to have your dues applied to a credit card.

I just called today and had the dues put on my Southwest Visa....closer towards another free ticket to MCO. Today was the first day of the next billing cycle for me, so the dues aren't really due until 3/3!!!

Hmmm. I wonder how many of us will be paying our DVC dues with our new Disney Rewards Visas when they come out. :)

My Dad put his POINTS on the credit card! He has two cards with large limits and he split the cost between them. He got zillions of free miles that way, which is great, as my parents live in Pennsylvania and my sister in Alaska. He and Mom are up there now and all the tix cost them was the service charge (about which my Dad gripes!) If you are a flier, these cards seem to be the way to go!

Halle, I think you need to call your guide. Sometimes they have to help with the transaction if it is being paid in any funky way. Our guide helped my Dad with his transaction.

Good luck!

I am buying through resale, and I asked, but was told that I couldn't put the purchase on a credit card, because once the deed is in my name they need to have the cash for the real estate. The problem with a credit card - I'm told - is that you can always dispute a charge and then the seller has to worry about how he will get his money when you already have the deed.

It's a shame. I could have had my first trip home on free airline tickets!!!:(

Halle - I put my down payment on Amex, but for the dues they will only accept Visa/MC.
