Credit Card needed even with the Dining plan?

I am planning a trip for myself and my children for next year. I just received the Brommer's 2007 Dining Guide and it say that in order for you to reserve a table at Cinderella Table, you have to give them a credit card that will be charged immediately after you book it even if you are in the dining plan. Am I reading this correctly? And if so, what other restaurants are required to leave a credit card?

yep..I booked CRT a few weeks ago and I had to pay in full. They said that if I ended up signing up for the DDP then I could call back and get a refund but I am just going to pay out of pocket

I think if you have already booked the DDP then they do not ask for the credit card details, if you haven't then they will.

The only other ones I can think of are the Fantasmic package and CG

I am on the DDP and had to give a credit card guarentee for both Cinderellas and the Princess Storybook Lunch at Askershus in Epcot. They said they will not charge the card unless I cancel less than 48 hrs prior.

Same thing happened for me......I had to give my credit card information for a guarentee.....but they never charged my card.
