Credit Card link to Room Key

We will be leaving next week. My mother-in-law is coming with us. Do you think it is possible, since we are sharing a room, to have her credit card linked to her room key, and our credit card linked to the second room key? Or does can you only use one credit card per room?

Another question that you may know. We are DVC members and purchased the meal plan, that we will be paying for. My mother-in-law will be purchasing our park tickets, at the hotel desk when we arrive. That won't be a problem to use to different cards for those purchases, right?

I don't have an answer to your first question, but I don't think they will care who pays for the meal plan and who pays for the tickets. Since you don't even have to purchase tickets to get the DDP with DVC, it shouldn't be a problem.

As recently as our last trip in January we were unable to link more than one credit card to room keys. You can choose to not have your credit card on your Mother's room key, but can't have different credit cards on keys for the same room.

Don't know if this would help, but you can go to the desk at any time and pay what you have charged to the room with whatever you want (cc, cash, gift card). As long as you keep track of your receipts, you could each just pay what you've spent. You could put your cc on file and if MIL spends $100, she could go to the desk and pay $100 with her own cc.


Also, I think you can pay for room/tix/food any way you want. I made all the arrangements and paid for my MIL's room with my cc over the phone, but my name was not even on her reservation.
