A while ago when it was first reported that Disney was going back to the 180-day window for ADRs, I also read that there was a possibility that you would have to leave a credit card number in order to guarantee the reservation, and there would be a penalty for no-shows (kind of like when you book a hotel room with a CC hold). This was pure speculation at the time and I have not read anything that officially announced this was true.
So now that the 180-day window started again a couple of weeks ago, do you also have to give a credit card number to secure an ADR? I don't ever intend to cancel an ADR but if there is a penalty I would like to know what it is, because you never know what could happen (i.e., if one of my children gets sick and we can't make it to the ADR and I have to call to cancel just a couple of hours before). I know that for CRT it is still the same, that you have to pre-pay with a credit card at the time you book. Just curious about the rest of them. We're looking at dinners at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Cape May, Captain's Grille, The Wave, Biergarten, Chefs de France and Whispering Canyon Cafe; and breakfasts at 1900 Park Fare, Cape May Cafe and possibly Ohana. Thanks!
