Credit Card Charges For Hddr, Crt

Last year when I made ADR's for the Luau, they just took your CC # but didn't charge it, only if you didn't show. Well I just made ADR for HDDR and CRT and they charged me for both and we are on the DxDDP. Should I call them and have them take it off. I really don't want to pay for this thats 700.00 on my CC that I have to pay now, on top of Airline tickets and MVMCP tickets. Ghezzzz

$700 I would freak!!!! It is my understanding that a CC is only required to secure the ADR, not to pay in advance. Especially if you are on the DxDDP!!! We have ADR's at both CRT and HDDR for Sept and neither charged the card given to secure the ressie. I would call them, something isn't right!

Yes, definately call them! They will reverse the charges, though it could take a few days before you see the money returned to your account.

Thats what I thought too. I am going to call tonight when I get home from work. Thats 700.00 in my pocket. I am paying them enough already.

We had the same problem with HDDR. We called and the said they would take it off the CC. After a couple of weeks still no credit on CC. The hotel concierge desk had to do the refund when we picked up the tickets.

$700 wow that would freak me out. I thought it was just a deposit that they charged to your cc...not the entire cost of the meal

We were charged for the Luau because I needed to make reservations before the free dining came out. When I booked our package with the free dining, I called the dining reservations number and they reversed the charge.

On my CC statement there was a definite charge on the date the reservations were made and a credit a couple of days after I had called to apply the 2TS credits.

Call them. The woman I spoke with made it emphatically clear that the CC was only to hold the ADR and would only be charged if we were no shows for the reservation.

I booked CRT in June and at the time my travel agent didn't have the DDP on our reservation. So they charged my cc for 7 CRT meals. I contacted my travel agent and made sure the DDP was on the reservation - after about a week, I called Disney dining back to have my cc credited. They said OK - no prob.

Well, it hadn't happened for a while. I called back the other day and this time I got someone who know what they were doing. She apologized for this not being done sooner and made sure the request went to the right people. My cc has been credited.

If you don't get someone who knows what they are doing - call back and get someone else.

My understanding on our list two trips was that the cc was only charged immediately for people like me who pay oop. YOu should definitely be refunded.

Refund to credit card can take up to six weeks.

when I called for feb 2009 for CRT they wouldn't let me add the DDP to that reservation yet (don't know why) and so she charged me the full amount for CRT. she said when we go and then use the DDP credits they will refund the card? This was on Sat--8/16.
