Credit Card Charges for DDP restaurants

I know this is a silly question and is probably answered somewhere else, but couldn't find it.

We are on the DDP for our trip in early October. I made a reservation at Hoop De Doo, planning on using two of our table service credits to pay for it. I was charged the full amount pre-paid as the credit card guarantee when I checked out even though I selected DDP.

Did I do something wrong when reserving, or will they credit back my payment once I get there and tell them I'm on the dining plan? I'm worried I'll forget which restaurants I pre-paid for and which I didn't six months from now. Thanks in advance!!

I have never had an issue pre-paying for a meal (CRT) and then getting the money refunded once there and telling them I was on the DDP. I think it's quite common so I wouldn't worry. You can try calling and seeing if they can adjust it.

When I booked SOA for our fall trip I had a lot of issues with it recognizing the dining plan and also it kept switching it to Cat 1 (which isn't on the DDP) when I would specifically choose Cat 2 (since it's on the DDP).

Do you already have the dining plan already?? Try calling them and asking about it. They told me that if you call, you will not be charged. If you do it online, even if you slect the dining plan, you will be charged

Yes, we currently have the dining plan and it's listed in my MDE. I had the same issue with it defaulting to Category 1, but finally thought I had it resolved. It does show as Category 2 in my MDE. I will call, and see if they can reverse.
