is there a certain credit card ( visa, M/C, etc ) that you can use to rent a car at Alamo where your insurance is covered by using that card?

If not , how many of you do not add the insurance to the rental price.

Check with your credit card company. There are way too many credit cards out there to keep track of which one does what.
I never take the insurance, my insurance covers me, as does my cc.

Alamo likes to push the insurance. To avoid the hassle, I bring a copy of my auto insurance policy along with a letter from them specifically stating that my policy covers rental cars, etc.
