Credit card and check in

I know I don't have to give my credit card details when I'm checking in at any WDW value or moderate hotel since I always pay it in advance and don't want to use room phone, or internet, but is it different when you're checking in at any DVC villas? Thank you!

No. You do not need to leave a Credit Card on file with DVC resorts, either. Only if you want charging privileges, or long distance phone calls.
