Has anyone ever had there card repeatedly declined by DCL? Trying to make my final payment and the card just keeps getting declined. Even after I've called my card services it still won't work. My final payment is due on Saturday.

Is it a debit card? I know that debit cards have daily limits. If your balance is over the daily limit, you can make separate payments on separate days. Not sure if credit cards have daily limits separate from credit limits.

Make sure your card was not flagged by your bank for fraudulent charges. Sometimes banks, I know BOA has done this to me a few times, will watch for unusual charges on your card. If there is anything out of the ordinary they will freeze your debit card until you call them and sort it out. It's supposed to help theft, but it has really caused some inconveniences and embarrassment on my part when it happens.

Check to see if your card is out of date. The experation date on the lower corner is past due and you did not notice a new card that may have been mailed to you. Why do I know this? It happened to me.:bitelip:

This happened to us last year on the Magic on our B2B. We had to call the bank to have them fix the limit. We also got money at the ATM in Nassau. We leave for another B2B in two weeks and I did paperwork at the bank this time to make sure everything goes ok.

When we paid for our trip in December, we spent a few days at WDW then a 3 and 4 day B2B cruise. My husband's card got frozen right after paying the deposit for the WDW stay and the 3 day cruise - 4 day deposit wouldn't go through. We were at a travel agent's and she suggested calling Visa to see if that happened since it's not uncommon. Sure enough that was the cause. Seeing multiple charges go through Disney (even though one was DCL) got flagged. He had it unfrozen and paid for the second cruise deposit. Then entered the number of the fraud line into his phone just in case it happened on vacation.

Are you trying to pay online? I had great trouble last week making a payment through the website - it kept declining my card, no matter which card I used. I ended up having to call them (and endure a 25 minute wait!) to pay over the phone.

junk like this is exactly why I use a Disney Specialist travel agent like **************************.. They always keeps me organized and aware of stuff :thumbsup2

I was having trouble with the website a couple weeks ago too. I tried several cards and several different amounts and forms and nothing would work. I ended up having to call in too. I think I've made a successful payment since then though.

Given all the upheaval with the Disney family of websites, with changes and new things and everything...I would assume it's the site's fault.

So I personally would call the CC company or bank to make sure it hadn't been flagged (or that all the tries hadn't flagged it!), and once that's cleared up, I would call.

As far as I can tell, TAs call it in, so if the website is the problem and calling in is the solution, that would explain why a TA could do it. If the CARD is the problem, no TA will be able to help with that.

Another thought - people have reported problems with making Disney payments (to WDW as well as DCL) when the expiration date on their credit card was "too far out." Like Disney's system hasn't been updated to recognize expiration dates out to 2017 or something like that.

Each time I've tried to pay from work it was declined, but trying from home later it worked each time.
