I'm helping my niece plan a trip to WDW. They have no money to speak of and this may truly be a once in a lifetime trip for these kids. The family consists of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 6 kids between 5 and 11... We got Mickey Mouse ears from the Disney Store with a 25% off coupon and free shipping, and I've made Disney themed travel pillows for the little kids and lanyards for everyone. We got mini-photo albums to double as autograph books with premade autograph pages (thanks DISBoards for the idea) and giant Disney pens. I 'm thinking refillable mugs for the teenagers if I can buy them in Sept when I go and they can use them in January (anyone know if that works? I 've never bought them before.) We're making matching T-shirts from Joanne Fabric with an iron-on Disney logo
I'm also packing a box to ship ahead, hopefully to be delivered on arrival as a gift from Mickey. So far I have glow in the dark swords for the boys and necklaces for the girls, individual serving-size flavored drink mixes for water bottles, and S'Mores fixings.
Can you think of anything else that can be made ahead of time or packed in that box that would add to their trip? Any suggestions welcome. What made you or your kids' first trip magical? Thanks!
