I need some "fresh" ideas for fundraising. The boys on the soccer team have been told they need to each initiate several fundraisers that they can organize and run on their own. The boys are 17 years old and have been divided into groups of four - ANY ideas on fundraising that (a) they will actually do and (b) can do by themselves? Oh, and to add to the fun - two of the four live out of town - my son and his buddy live in the same town.

Other than a bottle drive or a car wash, I'm at a bit of a loss ...

Try checking out this website: http://www.soccerfundraisingtips.com/

There are a few "different" kind of ideas on there.

Hope this helps! I can't really think of anything off the top of my head that would interest 17 yo boys, but maybe something on that site will help.

Will the whole team do each fundraiser? A bunch of 17 year old boys, lets see, lawn work, help people clean out their garage, deck/fence staining--this could be a BIG one if they are willing to do it for not a lot of money--we are paying our DS15 $500 this summer to stain our deck and fence. If you could line up 10-15 jobs like that you could make a nice chunk of change.

Each team is responsible for their fundraiser is my understanding. It would be much easier if each team organized one event and the others all participated but I'm not sure that's the case. In any event, we need to come up with something ...
