One of our friends is turning 50 in a few weeks, and I am trying to think of a fun way to give him $50 for his gift. I remember someone posting about taping dollar bills together, and I also wondered about giving 50 gold dollars (harder to carry around and spend, though). It would be great if I can incorporate a fun teasing gift like AARP magazine, Depends or hair dye for men - any ideas?

Thanks for helping! :goodvibes

Friends of DD13s taped dollar bills together and wrapped them around a toilet paper spool. She said it was cute seeing the birthday girl unrolling them, it was singles, fives and tens (several girls went in together. Came up to around $100 in cash from jsut them!

I buy 50 $1 lottery scratch off tickets.

For my 16th birthday my aunt did something like this for me. She bought a fake tree for me and tied 16 folded dollars on the tree. She also took pictures from over the years, cut them into smaller pictures and tied them to the left over branches. It was very cute and I still have it today.

You can order from Bits& pieces a puzzle box that you can put money in. We did this for a friends 50th.

get one of the over the hill balloons .. try to get it inside. :)
or tape it to th balloon itself

My uncle got my mom a little treasure chest and put $50 in the gold $1 coins in it, it was really cute.

That's what I had thought of, but I didn't know how much of a pain that would be to receive it since it is hard to carry around $50 in gold coins. I guess he would just have to change it at the bank.

I have a 50th party to attend this weekend and I'm planning to tape 50 one dollar bills end to end and stuffing them in a square tissue box. A tissue will be sticking out of the top of the box with the bills to follow.
