Turns out I applied for my AMEX Blue through their portal site, a 3000 pts offer.
I got accepted right away, got my confirmation e-mail and of course... had to forward it to CR. A month later I had not a point even pending so of course, I had to write him again. Now I had to wait two more weeks for an "investigation". After 14 days he asked if I really received the card. I said heck yes, where's my points?

His answer was: "We can try to get them for you, but this is not guaranteed."

Ehem, ehem.. So I said well, I will find where I report this deceptive advertising, this is not what was stated in the offer in your site. His reply was: "We will credit you, but in the future please use other rewards sites for these types of offers. We cannot be held responsible for these issues" When I check my account, I was only credited for 2200 points rather than 3000!

Is this ridiculous just to me? I mean, if you have to send people to apply to offers through other sites, why keep those links there in the first place?

Has anyone else had this sort of problems with portal sign ups for chunky points through CR?

The biggest offer I've ever used them for was for 1300 points, and I got the points, no problem.

But I'm with you, the situation you described is just ridiculous!! Why in the world offer the 3000 points if they don't intend to pay them?
