Creating Keepsakes University

Anyone going to try to go to the Creating Keepsakes University in Coronado Springs Resort Jun 5-7, 2003? I booked a room on points for now but registration is not available yet. I hear it books up FAST!

My friend was telling me about this! The one in Provo Utah has all of the 300 rooms booked already! and the registration hasn't even begun!
I would love to attend the one in WDW I bet that would be fun!

but worry about whether I'll manage to get in. The one in New England this year sold out in 13 hours.

it just so happens that I will be in Orlando from the 5th June next year. I booked this before I knew the dates for CKU, but it sounds like fate to me!

My dh doesn't think it's a great idea for me to go to CKU, but I am working on him

I went to a UK scrapbooking event last month, and Robin Johnson taught some classes, and also a lady called Paula who organises CKU but doesn't normally teach there. Both were great teachers and we had excellent classes - it really made me want to go to CKU even more!

I didn't know they weren't taking registrations yet! They've been advertising it for so long! I thought very seriously about booking a room using points, but I don't think I could concentrate on my "studies" if I was at WDW! We were at the Magic Kingdom on my birthday, and it was just too much to think about all at once. (Like hunting for Easter eggs and trick-or-treating at the same time!)

Seriously, though, is that the way CKU always is? They've advertised one in the Midwest (Indianapolis?) and would it be as hard to get into?

I don't think the registration is even open yet, maybe you could call the hotel and see if they have any rooms available. That would be a start.
as I said above my friend wants to go to the one in Utah and the hotel is already booked but the registration hasn't even begun!

I am really thinking about the one at WDW though!

I attended CKU new england. I love scrapbooking and I love Disney, but there is no way I could combine the two. CKU takes up all your time for the 2 1/2 days. The only pratical way, would be to extend your visit, so that you could go to Disney either before or after CKU, I do not see how I could be on Disney property without visiting the mouse.

CKU was an awesome experience, the classes were great, the people were great, the location was great, I would do it again, and I will next time they are in new england.
