I found this post on the Passporter Message Board. What a great idea? Does anyone else do this and have any suggestions to add? I'm definitely going to start working on mine.

I decided to make my own little tour-guide book. I originally decided to use a small notebook that came with dividers and little folders. I had 7 sections - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios,Islands of Adventure and then an extra section with all the extra info such as info on Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, the restaurants we were planning on eating at, the resorts we were planning on visting, etc. I would get pictures and info from each ride and attraction and put them onto a page - for example, in the Magic Kingdom section on the SpectroMagic page I put the lyrics to the song in the parade as well as pictures from the parade. I also used allearsnet.com to get menues which I copied into the book, etc. There were 4 little folders and in one I put all the main info - our itinerary, budget, maps of the parks (from my passporter!), etc. In one folder I put our customized touring plans, in one folder I put the touring plans I tore out of my Unofficial Guide for extra info and in one folder I put a pad of paper to use to take notes for my trip report while on the actual trip.

I have done the same thing. I went to a discount bookstore and bought a journal. I have 3 guidebooks and a lot of printouts from the web so I just pasted them all into the journal after breaking them into sections for MK, AK, EP, and DS. It cuts down the size of the information bulk and is also quite fun. Plus I have been collected the information for a few months now and reading through it to figure where to put it in the journal, I was reminded of a lot of tips I had forgotten.

What size journal/notebook do you use? Do you take it with you to the parks?

I haven't been yet. This is my first time to WDW. Thats why I am making sure to pack every bit of information. The journal is probably 9"x5". If anything is too big (maps) I just paste the part that fits into the journal and fold in the rest. It looks very much like a scrapbook!

Here I thought I was living dangerously by carrying my park hours and ADRs with me to the park each day. I use an excel spreadsheet to get all the park hours for the time that I will be there on one sheet. Usually, WDW has followed them pretty close.

Before the trip, I break out my folder with all the dividers in it. I put the flight plans, transportation, tours, etc. in all their compartments.

I have 2 pieces of paper I carry into the park, the one with the park hours and the one with the ADRs and any special events I don't want to miss.

using index cards. Using Disney clip art, I decorated my cover page, resort and park information, cool things I'd like to do, packing list, tips, etc, then I have it wirebound at Staples with a clear or opaque cover on the front, and a black back cover. :artist: I did this for our trip on the DCL, and it is my favorite souvenir! The size it perfect, and fits right into my bag. This year I made an extra one for my mom, as she's going with us...she loves it!

Have fun!

I dump all my Word, Excel, PDFs to my Windows Mobile PDA :)

What is a notebook?

Although I read and collect all my maps, trivia, places to see, etc.... I condense down to a very small card size that fits in my lanyard (badge) holder. I travel light. Actually have all ADRs printed out (one little card), everything I want to be SURE and see (one little card for each park or 1/2 card) and a page for tracking my DDP. DH carries the map we pick up in each park (if we remember!).

I like all the ideas about journals, etc... :thumbsup2 but I HATE carryiing stuff. Haven't even gotten a Pal Mickey because of that.

This trip I am using 4x6 cards and I put them in a small photo album. I have one page with all of my adr's and one with all of the park hours and shows. Then I make one card for each day with my touring plans etc.

Last trip I laminated each day and put them on a metal ring to take to the park. I think the book will be better.

Happy planning everyone!!
