Ok so this is my first journal post....
A bit about me.... In October 2001 at nine months pregnant I weighed in at 259 pounds. The day I came home from the hospital I was 235 .....In november of 2002 I started the Atkins diet and the weight quickly came off. I droped down to a low of 135.5 by christmas 2003 and stayed between 135-140 until July of last year (2004). We went on our DL vacation and I went hog wild with my eating and just never really got back on track in full force since. I have tried many times since to get back into low carb, but it's just not working for me any more. :guilty:
I have put on 20 pounds in the last year so here to try in get back in control of my weight again before it get out of hand. I'm going to try to eat lower calorie and lower fat and stay away from low carb as much as I loved it, I've shown myself this past year I can't get back on track using low carb anymore .....maybe once I get back in the full swing of dieting again I may move back to low carb...but for now I'm looking forward to my low calorie fruit and veggies and oat meal and such....... :banana:
Here is to hoping for 20 pounds lost by my birthday in Feb. :wizard: :cool1:
 
Welcome, welcome!! I have struggled with the same problems. The weight piles on before you realized what happened!! You have made a great first step by starting a journal. You will have good days and bad days, but we are all in this together!! :grouphug:
 
Hi! You are going to love WISH...WELCOME!!!

I am going through trying to lose my baby weight. I have lost 48 pounds total so far...I started at 210, now I weigh 162. I still have 52 more to go, I have done my best "losing" by being here on the WISH boards. Everyone is so supportive and help you so much. We are all pretty much going through the same thing. I can't wait to read more of your journal! Have a great evening!
 
Well so far so good, no weight loss to report yet or have I gotten in any real exercise, but I have done really good with my eating and keeping my calories and fat intake low.
I can feel that I'm starting to get sick, my ear hurts, my throat is sore and I'm getting cold sores all over my mouth. :sad1:
I'm hoping I feel better by tuesday so I can get things moving again.... at least I'm keeping my food under control. :bounce:
 

Well this moring I was down 2 pounds :banana: so I must be doing something right.... however I feel like my calories may be too low... I've been eating less then 1000 calories a day....
All this calorie and fat counting is new to me.... I lost over 120 pounds on low carb and never counted a single calorie .... now it seems like things have switched up and I need to move away from low carb for awhile..... I think my body just got too "used" to low carbing.....
Does anyone know what calorie range I should be shooting for? I'm 5 foot 3 and have a goal weight of 130-135.
 
I'm down a total of 3 pounds since the 1st :banana: Actually this is a lot easier for me then I remember from the past...perhaps it's because I'm enjoying many foods I had to keep away from doing low carb.

Welcome to WISH!!! This is a very supportive place and I KNOW you will love it here! Make sure to drink LOTS of water and read other people's journals.

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks to all who replied with comments they are very welcomed!! :banana:

I am down another 1/2 pound today for a loss of 3.5 pounds since the first of the month.... I really need to work on getting my body moving more but hey one thing at a time right?~! :goodvibes

I'm off to take a walk with my family !!
 
As of this moring I was at 5 pounds lost !! :banana: :banana:
I've been doing really well keeping my calories at or around 1300, sometimes less but not by too much. Still need to get my body moving, but I've been working some really early shift at work (6am) so by the time I get home my butt has been kicked.

On a different note....... I finally booked our WDW vacation for July 06!! I'm so excited.... 5 nights and 6 days at all star movies with dinning and hoppers!!!

Welcome - and congrats on that first 5 gone!!!!! Good job. I'd think that if the 1300 calories is working for you then stay around that. You don't want to lose too fast, although you don't have a lot to lose, and then end up gaining it all back. About 1500-1300 would be a good range I would think but I wouldn't get above 1500 and would stay closer to 1300.
