Call me crazy, but I just booked our next trip for July 1-8 at SSR. We go in July, because it's the only time we can all go. One in college, one in Jr High...We do love SSR, and this gets in another trip before our AP's expire. We're going to try for race tickets at Daytona on the 6th..whatever possessed me???

95 Degrees and 90% humidity? Yeah, that's pretty crazy!

Going "home" is NEVER crazy!! If you've got a chance to go, get yourself on a plane, and enjoy it!! You'd be crazy to NOT go!! Of course . . . I'm not so pleased that you're not paying my way to join you, but . . .

We have always gone in the summer due to being teachers and our school schedule. We were even married there in mid July!! Sure it's hot, humid etc. but no matter when you are at WDW you can have a wonderful time. You just have to plan well. We do the early morning entrance and leave the parks around lunch time. . .then return for dinner and beyond. It cuts down on crowds and heat. We sweat and love it!!

Enjoy.

I would love to see the 4th of July Fireworks at MK. It's one of my little DVC goals! Enjoy your trip!!

We go quite often in the summer. I have older kids as well (17,14,13) and my best advise is take advantage of the extra magic hour at night. It seemed to work so well with their teenage schedule. There was no fighting to get them up in the morning or bugging them to get to sleep because we had to get up. We would sleep in, go to the pool all day, have a nice dinner, then show up for EMH (maybe an hour or two before original closing), sleep in the next day and do it again. One night we were at the MK until 2:30 in the morning! It was so much fun.

SSR had fireworks on the 4th at DTD and a pool party at CP quiet pool. That was fun too.

We always go early or late June into July.

This year as DD started HS and Plays Soccer we can't do our normal Fall trip. So we are going to do 12 to14 days instead.

I think we are going to try to hit the July 4th week in this year as well and extend it in either direction.

We will just be starting our AP and finish them in Early June of 09.

I just have to book at least that July 4th part of the trip and worry about switching and extending at the 7 month mark as it about when we do vacations at work.We also want to do a Split stay for this long of a trip.

Thanks I just went on-line and summited a booking. At least I will get the important dates out of the way.

We spent a week over July 4, 2006 and had a great time. Make ALL your dining reservations as far in advance as possible. Give yourselves activities to help avoid the crowds on July 4 itself (we booked the Aqua Tour in Living Seas and it was wonderful).

We usually go in the summer months. Yes, it is hot, but that is ok with us. We just love being there. We take breaks and drink lots of water. I really don't care when I go home as long as I can go. Have a great trip. :goodvibes

We went in July this year, and already have our ressie for 2 weeks next July 22 - Aug 5. We are from South Texas, so the heat and humidity just make it feel more like "home"! Of course, we would like to try other times during the year, but will have to wait a few years until the boys graduate high school. Have fun!

I will be there the same time as you! We are at SS June 22-July 11th!!! Can't wait!!
