Does anyone know if any of the moderate resorts offer rooms that open to an interior hallway and have balconies? It is hard to tell by most of the photo's that I've seen. I know that most of the deluxe resorts (Poly, WL, GF) offer these types of rooms but I am wondering if any of the moderate resorts offer them. I'm researching CSR and love the looks of it but I was wondering if there were any options for such rooms there.

Also, if anyone has any recommendations for certain buildings or areas of CSR, please post. I'm interested as I've never stayed in a moderate resort at WDW before. Thanks in advance!

The moderates except POFQ( I think) open to outdoor corridors. I would much rather look at the beautiful landscaped outdoors at WDW than a bland interior corridor.

CSR has exterior corridors, no balcony. We were in the Casitas section, I think it was 9B. It was convenient to the parking lot and not very far from the pool.

I don't really want to look at a bland cooridor either...I just like the privacy of your own balcony like at the other resorts, that's all.

You are out of luck then with private balconies. Not sure about the Mansions at PO

The balconies definately do not look out at a bland corridor but have such views as a Savannah (AKL), Magic Kingdom Castle (possible from GF, Poly and CR), Bay Lake, Epcot (BWI), the lanscaped outdoors, etc depending on the deluxe resort and view you choose. I too like the balconies for the privacy they provide.

The door to your room then opens to an interior corridor which I like for the privacy, security, etc. The moderates all have exterior corridors which do not offer you the privacy of a balcony since your door opens to the external corridor and the window in your room also exposes you to this public space. In my stay at CS I felt very cramped since when you opened the drapes to your window you also exposed your room to everyone that was walking to rooms near yours.

I wasn't saying that the balconies was looking out to a bland corridor.

I don't like the fishbowl effect at the moderates when you open your curtains. I have my laptop on the table and I don't like to advertise it so someone feels they need to break into my room.

Each has its pros and cons. When I stay elsewhere I like a hotel with interior corridors, at WDW I like walking outside to get to my room.

POFQ does not have balconies. Neither do the mansions at POR.

Thanks everyone. It doesn't look like I'm going to get a balcony at a moderate resort. I guess I can live with that. I'm not about to pay an extra $100+ per night just for a balcony (and I know that isn't all you get with deluxe, but in this case...it's what I'm looking for). I'm sure that exterior corridors will be fine. I have noticed that a lot of hotels in FL have exterior corridors rather than interior ones. No biggie! Thanks for the info!

All moderates and value resorts have outside corridors. No balconies or patios at either.
