We are heading down Oct 27 and currently have a fullsized SUV for $603 with Alamo. I just checked and the price of that vehicle went up $250, crazy! It had been staying steady for a few weeks; I am expecting to see the prices drop next week, fingers crossed.

Oops, it went up $350.

It might not happen, I've got a fullsize with National at $295 that I booked with Autoslash two months ago. That 5 day rental is now $600 for next week. I've seen some good deals with the second and third tier companies that are off-site, but nothing from the majors.

We go next week and things dropped two weeks ago for Alamo before creeping back up. I just checked at 5 days out and it’s movping down again. Budget is beating my reservation by $15 but I’m sticking with Alamo. This is all with a Costco code

Just becareful with car rentals, enterprise changed pricing on us when we went to pick the car up and added excess mileage charges when we dropped it off. The price you are given may not stick, and most car rental agreements say so in fine print at the bottom of the reservation.

Our last trip in April, the prices just kept going up rather than coming down like they have in the past.
Still hoping they come down for our trip this month, but don't expect to see it happen.
