Crazy question for those familiar with boardwalk area

If we are coming from MGM studios boat over to Boardwalk's Big river Grill for lunch, is it faster to get off at swan/dolphin and walk over the bridge or wait for the boat to stop at Boardwalk?
Crazy question I know, but if we are pressed for time, would it make a huge difference?

If I remember correctly, the boat runs MGM-swan/dolphin-yacht/beach-boardwalk-epcot and then reverse.

If that's correct, it might be slightly faster to skip the boat stop at yacht/beach and take the hike over the bridge... I think the RIver Grill is on that end of the boardwalk (towards swan/dolphin bridge) anyway...

Several factors play into the decision to boat or not to boat.

If the boat is not yet in the MGM lagoon when you exit the park and you walk at a fairly good clip you'll beat the boat with impunity.

If it is raining or there is a line/chance you won't get on the boat the first time, also walk.

If you are tired, take the boat.

Now as to the bridge, it may be slightly faster, but while the Big River is on that side of the Boardwalk it is closer to the center.

We always have just walked and it has always been faster than taking the boat. It is a nice easy walk.

We always stay at the Boardwalk and I would walk, I love that walk plus I always beat the boat there. If you take the boat I would get off the 1st stop it will take to long waiting for the next 2 stops to load and unload.

Are you allowed to drive over from your resort and park @ the Boardwalk and stroll around? We have never been, and don't know the set-up for parking. Are there any restrictions, etc...? Thanks!

It has been a long time since we had a car at Disney, but when we did we never had a problem driving to Boardwalk and parking.

We parked at the Boardwalk at Christmas with no problem.
