Crazy question, but what about the deodorant?

Hello all! As my time approaches I am quickly picking up things from many trips to the store and putting them away for our wedding...I was wondering if anyone would share their "thank goodness I brought this product it helped me look my best/made me comfortable" for their wedding!

For example I have heard other girls say the product Body Glide helped them from chafing on the beach/parks...runners use it for marathons...

Also, what kind of deodorant do you wear with a wedding dress? Spray, invisible solid? I am SO not a girl who wears dresses and now I am panicking about all things, deodorant! :lmao:

Secret Flawless Clear! That is what I use most of the time, it's a clear gel and I love it! :)

I will have to try that....I was thinking a clear gel, letting it dry and then putting the dress on would be my best bet...def. will check it out though!

Just be VERY careful if you're trying a new deodorant...it's very common to be allergic to something in it.

I myself have had two very bad reactions when I tried a new brand and/or type (switched from roll-on to solid or switched brands).

Look at the "ingredients" carefully or make sure you give yourself plenty of time with a new deodorant. I didn't break out at first, it took a few days and then it spread down my whole side and itched like CRAZY! And then took awhile for it to clear up. You don't want to be red and/or itchy on your wedding day!

I suggest either wearing what you usually wear or getting a new one with the same active ingredient or giving yourself like a month to try a different brand/type.
I had actually called the company when I started having the reaction and was told that it's very common for this to happen, something about the skin under your arm being thinner and also that women shave under their arms etc...

HTH:goodvibes

I brought Secret Clinical Strength - I wanted something to last all day in the June heat.

One thing to remember is to bring personals (i.e. pads, etc). You would think under all the stress of getting married, your cycle would be late. Well, don't plan on it. Mine came a week early - at my reception.

Of course I was unprepared, and our wedding planner had quarters, but the machine didn't work (at ADH). One of our guests actually came to my rescue.

That's my opinion. Be ready, just in case.

If you're wearing heels, bring comfortable shoes to change into for the reception - especially if you're having dancing! No one will be able to see them under your dress anyway :)

I will probably just wear this Lady Speed Stick clear gel stuff I got. I happened to get it for 25 cents with a coupon and it actually works really great, I was shocked. Thankfully, it's still pretty cheap even without a coupon.

You know believe it or not I have had good luck with Lady Speed Stick as well but usually just use Degree, I am looking into their clear formula as well :)

ACK! That is my biggest fear. I'm glad you had a guest who helped. I'm scared to death that I'll get a surprise visit from aunt flo during my VR and ruin my dress.

Your post made me go count my birth control and believe it or not I get my "friend" two days after the wedding (smack dab in our honeymoon ) I have decided to skip that cycle that month as I have done that before for vacations...going to miss the pill when I go off it! :rotfl:
