My crazy 35 yr old nephew has a 2 yr old that has way too much energy! They are to sail on the Wonder April 21st. He is a nervous wreck worrying that his son could fall overboard. Someone please tell me the sides of the ship beneath the railings are high enough to prevent such a thing. I told him there was no way anything to do with Disney would not be thinking of kids first! Is there any area that he should be more concerned about? Please answer me when you are finished laughing!!

Hasn't happened in 7 years. Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No.

Please tell him not to worry. We sailed with our 2 yr old dd a couple of years ago and had the same fears. There is plexiglass covering all of the rails. The only way the child could possibly go overboard is if they climbed in a chair but I am not even sure that is possble. Tell him not to worry and have fun... :flower:

Deck 9 has plexiglass that goes from completely up the side to deck 10. My DD was 3 & like a little monkey when we cruised the first time...can get on top of the fridge without a chair's help... and we had no concerns once we actually saw the layout & how things were done.

Thanks for asking this one ;) I swear...I have had nightmares about this! I am glad to hear from other folks that (as I imagined) it is safe for my angels :goodvibes
