Alternatively, she could have canceled the rest of her trip at the Disney hotel and changed to a pet friendly one off site then hired an in room sitter.
The kennels do take reservations and they will call and ask if everything is ok if you change your mind and leave the dog at home with a sitter but forget to call and cancel the reservations.
