Crazy? I was crazy once... a Pre-Trip report

So, to pre-trip report or not to pre-trip report? That, is the question. Although I seem to be the DISboards official thread killer, I thought I would try a pre-trip report and see the response. Mostly, because I'm going to drive my family/friends/co-workers crazy if I say the "D" word one more time. Our trip isn't until June 5th... but I'm already planning frantically, for 3 reasons.

1.) I love Disney.
2.) I love planning.
3.) My friends have NEVER been!

I suppose, firstly, I should introduce the characters of this not-so-short story.

There's me: Hi! *waves* My name is Kadye. (Pronounced Katie) and I'm a Disney-aholic.

Tony: He's the boyfriend. His favorite character is Robin Hood.

Rod: He's one of mine and Tony's best friends. I actually met him before Tony.

Kaytea: I've been best friends with her since 7th grade. She traveled with Tony, Rod, and myself to St. Louis for our fall break.

Hannah: We're great friends and we're taking Fencing this semester (with Rod). She's awesome!

As soon as I figure out how to put pictures up, you shall be blessed (or not so much) with our faces.

The when: June 5-12 at Pop Century on the Basic Dining Plan

This trip has been planned, put off, started over, canceled, re-planned, put off, and canceled for over 2 years, now. This summer I decided I was going, even if it meant going alone, but of course that didn't happen.

We'll be driving from Memphis, TN. (13-14 hours)

So, come join me on my crazy, magical planning spree...

I'm back from my long hiatus of updating. Hopefully, my TR will pick up some speed... as I only have 22 views. (Though, I only had one super short entry... ha!) So, to do a more formal intro...

Again, I'm Kadye. I'm on the left in the picture below. I'll be 21 on this trip (my birthday's in 2 weeks).
Major: Integrative Studies: Grades 4-8 Social Studies & Language Arts
Favorite Disney Characters: Belle, Emperor Kuzco, Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck
Talents: I'm in the Mighty Sound of the South Men's Pep Band, I write, I organize, and I work. Ha!
Jobs: I'm a Day Coordinator for the Music Building at my University, I'm the Box Office Manager there, and I work at a Theatre on the Technical Crew where I do electrical work, build, set the stage, do lighting and sound, and everything to make the shows great (basically... the stuff you never see!)

My friend Kaytea is joining us. She's on the right in the picture. She'll be 20 on the trip. (Her birthday is 7-11)
Jobs: She works at a daycare near her house. So, she deals with pesky kids all day long.
Short info: NEVER been to Disney (actually... none of them have, but me). We've been best friends since 7th grade. I'm the reason she passed Chemistry in High School. She's planning on starting college in the fall (I might hurt her if she doesn't).

That's Hannah. She's gonna turn 22 on the 26th.
Major: Piano Performance; She graduates in May and starts Grad School in the fall.
Short bio: Also, never been to Disney. We're taking Fencing in the fall. Eventually we're going to take Ballroom Dancing! She's awesome.

Tony's in the middle. He's 27 (just had his birthday on the 4th).
Major: Music Education; he graduated in August. Oh, and Advanced Quantum Theory major, too...
Jobs: Works at the same Theatre I do.
Favorite Disney Character: Robin Hood
Info: NERD. He's happy we'll be there for Star Wars Weekends. He's driver #2 on this trip.

Rod's on the right. He's 23.
Major: Music Education; he'll graduate eventually... much like myself...
Info: He's also a huge NERD and he's happy we'll be there for SWW.

We leave on June 5th. We'll be leaving around 5:00 in the morning, as we're driving from Memphis, TN... and that's about a 13 hour drive. (Crazy? Yup.) We will NOT driving through Atlanta. We'll be driving my aunt's mini-van (I'll be leaving her my PT Cruiser for the week). Leaving at 5 am means an estimated arrival time for POP Century being 7:30 pm. (Including stops) So, no ADRs for arrival night.

We'll be on the DDP (the basic 2 meals, 1 snack per night). The first night there we'll be paying OOP for our meal. How tired we all are by the time we arrive will determine where we will eat for dinner. If we're too tired to go anywhere after we check in, we'll eat at the Food Court. If we're not, I'd like to try Beaches and Cream. Maybe split the Kitchen Sink for dessert?
