Does anyone know when all those crazy big groups of Cheerleaders are scheduled to be at Disney this year? I think I remember hearing that Dec is usually affected and I am thinking about making my first ever Dec trip in 2010. I want to avoid any dates that will be impacted by large groups like this.

Any feedback? Are there dates in Nov, Dec or Jan that you would highly recommend? We usually go in Sept as we try to avoid the big crowds but I have never seen the Christmas setup and would love to and due to changing jobs my schedule is no longer as restricted as years before.

Your feedback is appreciated!
Thanks
Kim

DISapalooza was scheduled at the time that the cheerleaders were there. I saw them once.

I have been there 3 years in a row during Pop Warner. I have never been negatively impacted by the cheerleaders. Occasionally I saw them, occasionally they were loud and obnoxious, but it was a fleeting moment out of a week of moments.

They really do not impact park touring significantly.

I have to agree with Mindy, they don't affect the parks much. But, the resorts can be another story. IF you are staying in certain values and one or two mods (for overflow), then you might have an issue. At the hotel is where we ran into them most and had problems (we were at Riverside). At the parks, never even saw them but once.

I think it is usually the first weekend in December.

Aren't there another group of cheerleaders in Feb?

How crowded were the parks overall this year during Disapalooza? Are there dates that you veterans would recommend during Nov or Dec? Looking for least crowded but want to see all of the Christmas decorations including the gingerbread house at GF and the lights at HS.

Mindy and others who have been during cheerfest or whatever it's called...does it hinder ADRs or bus transport? Which moderates are used for overflow if the values are too full for the cheerleaders? We usually go deluxe and stay at the Poly but were considering CBR this time to save a little $.

Thanks for the info!
Kim
