I'm doing it even if you tell me I'm crazy!

DH has a new job - NO vacation time. We need a WDW fix badly. He does have Memorial Day off. He can't leave early on Friday (no time off), so we can't leave from home until after 6:30 p.m.

Our flight gets in MCO at 11:30 Friday night. I have a towncar scheduled straight to POR (or CBR - DU is working out that little glitch), where we are staying for 3 nights. We figure we'll have all day Saturday, all day Sunday, and up until about 4:00 on Monday, with a 7:00 p.m. MCO departure that evening.

We've been there enough times that we don't feel we have to "see everything." We're going to get UPH with our room when we check in, so we should be able to pick and choose and "go somewhere else" if the holiday crowds are too bad in one particular spot.

Has anyone ever done anything like this? We've never gone for less than 6 nights!!!:smooth:

Hey, sounds great to me!!!! Enjoy the trip!!! :sunny:

and you don't sound crazy to me at all

We went to Epcot for 4 hours once. Is that any more crazy? We were the 2nd family off the Disney Wonder. We got the first bus to the airport. Checked in at AirTran. Then headed for the Budget rental desk. Got a PT Cruiser and drove to Epcot. We spent a little under 4 hours going around the World Showcase (twice) enjoying the Food and Wine Festival. Then back in the car, back to the airport, and back home. Although due to weather we didn't actually get home until the following day.

Last summer, I couldn't stand the thought of no WDW vacation, so we managed to find last minute rooms for a 5 night stay. We bought annual passes because we knew that we'd be back before the year was up.

So what you are doing sounds perfectly sane to me. :teeth:

If we could snag a good deal on airfare we would take a quick trip (or maybe I would w/out dh)lol. If you have a chance to do it I would.

Of course I wouldn't find anybody on THIS board who thought this was a crazy idea! What was I thinking?!!!! :D

The only "bad" part is that I am a terrible flyer and I couldn't find direct flights that left late enough for DH's schedule. This means we have to fly through Atlanta both ways. That means an additional "take-off" and "landing" on each leg of the trip.
