Crayons and paper at restaurants?

Do the restaurants at WDW give crayons and paper (like an activity sheet or something) to children? I can't remember from the last time we went. We have plenty of character meals and entertaining meals planned, but we also have some low-key resort TS dinners planned. I just want to be prepared because if they don't give them out then I will make sure to have some with me for my boys. Thanks!

Oh that will be fun! We're going there for dinner one evening, and the kids will enjoy that! We're also going one morning for the breakfast but my kids will be enthralled by the characters at breakfast!!!

It's been a looong time, but I remember Marrakesh definately giving our son an activity sheet & crayons.

At Cape May, kids are given crayons to draw on the white paper tablecloth!

At breakfast, the chacters will sometimes write on the tables to communicate. We were wearing something that indicated that we were from Boston, and I think Chip (or Dale) wrote for us to say "Boston" to Goofy. Goofy jumped up and down!

a lot of the kid menus are activity sheets and they give the kids crayons to use on them. I'm not sure it it is every restaurant but most of them do.

The kids menus were activity sheets at all of the TS restaurants that we went to (except the buffets). They kept my daughter nicely occupied!

Just wanted to say, those tiny play doh tubs (from home) were a hit, not only with my children, but the CHARACTERS LOVED THEM! There were competitions between the princesses, every character that came by made something! My kids got a bit bored sometimes with crayons and paper at every meal, even when we played tic tac toe etc. But my DD cannot read yet and my DS likes them sometimes. Still, if they do not automatically bring one you can ask and they will!

I'm sure the Play Doh was fun, but I don't think I would want to take it to a place like Disney, especially to play with where people are going to eat food. I taught preschool for a lot of years and Play Doh is a high maintenance toy. It can get in the carpet, in people's shoes, in clothing, and its hard to make sure you have cleaned up your whole mess before you leave the restaurant. Play Doh also leaves a residue on the table that may or may not be cleaned off by a quick wipe down. A great substitute might be pipe cleaners in different colors and lengths.

In January every TS we went to gave DD5 a kid's menu that was an activity sheet. Cape May had paper tablecloth with a pail of crayons. But I don't think the buffets gave out anything though. I carried a small travel sized activity pad and a few crayons in a ziplock.

Liberty Tree Taveren had coloring sheets and crayons in the waiting area. That was nice.

FYI, the activity sheets/kids menus are ALL the same, property wide. My kids got bored doing them after the second TS meal. Good thing we only did three TS meals...

My kids loved having SILLY PUTTY to play with. Kept their hands busy, doesn't make a mess, and you can do a lot with it.
