I didn't specialize in computer graphics so what I know is limited. I think the floating items and other display uglies are a result of the algorithm used to plot the images in the window. Only portions of the window are updated at a time to make the game faster. You can kind of see how this is done when you move the game window between the foreground and the background. It shows up big time when I am in the Haunted Mansion Ballroom on my credit runs. Another time it really shows up is when I go off river boating in the Jungle Cruise game. Fixing the floating crate might slow down performance of the game so I'm willing to tolerate some display uglies.
