Every time I go to Disney, I SWEAR there is a crane at the castle! Grrr...don't ya' just hate photo bombers? :upsidedow

We were there last weekend and were able to get some pictures without the crane between 8-9 in the morning and then again in the evening. That being said, every picture from the middle of the day has the crane at various heights...

Oh, I so hope Mr. Crane is going to stick around until we go next month!
Haven't seen "him" since hmmm, let me think....Last year, and the year before that and the year before that and....

I actually like seeing construction in old photos. "Hey, that was when they were building Dumbo's Circus!"

I didn't realize it was going to be up for this past trip week either, but oh well. Normally it was high enough I was able to "block" it out with the castle itself, or angle my pictures down just enough. Kind of annoying, but since we've been several times before, it didn't really annoy me. Kind of neat actually to see the bucket with people in it going up and down.

Same here. I think this is one of the coolest photos of WDW history of Imagineering legend Marty Sklar at the exact place where Cinderella's Castle was to be built:

The “X” marks the spot where Cinderella’s Castle will be built

Could be worse. look at what happened in Manhattan this morning. :(
Which is a good reason not to do crane work where people are crowding at. I mean that crane or whatever's its holding could fall and suddenly 30+ people are dead and hundreds more are injured.

Maybe it's part of the Dumbo experience....oh, wait...that was Mr. Stork. Relatives?

would the people that do not like the crane with the fear that it could fall be happier with MK being closed so the crane can remove the lights? the lights have to be removed so that means the crane is going to be there. we can not have it both ways and it is going to happen again this fall to put the lights back up. can not just leave lights up as they would still need to be worked on as it is time for them to be used
