You never went to Animal Kingdom to ride Expedition Everest?

Sounds like a fun trip and between you and us we rode a ton of roller coasters!

No, we didn't make it over there. We didn't have park hoppers and didn't want to go there a whole day. I think the next time I go I will make sure to have the park hoppers so I can do that and do MGM on the same day. We don't stay at either one of them that long when we go.

After I read your trip report, I looked up hershey park. That looks like a pretty cool place. We may have to plan a trip.

What is everyone up to this weekend? We are having our big block party on Sunday. Should be fun. We got a giant slide to put in our backyard. My neighbor got it and I think she said it is a 20 ft dual slide. So the kids (and adults) can have races. Now, I just need to figure out what kind of food to make.

We've got Rockies tickets for Saturday night, which is our traditional fireworks game. Probably spend Sunday with Tammy's family then watch the fireworks at Cornerstone from our backyard.

Did you guys get that mailer recently about the Disney Dream? Tammy saw that they have Turtle Talk with Crush in Animator's Palette and we're now discussing the possibility of a short cruise if just to see that.

Can't even imagine how much fun it would be to cruise with you guys, but we don't want to pull Alex out of school for this one. Thinking more like spring break, since we never seem to do anything when he is off for that.

Ya!! Now if only I can convince Chris to go with me. It was packed. It hailed on us when we got to the top so we had to rush back down. Then when we got down by the marsh area it started hailing again and bad lightening. I think I gave Chris a heart attack he was so panicked since he was waiting for us in the truck. But it was fun and I made it back to the truck alive. Just a little bruised from the hail and soaked.

What time did you start and how long did it take you? We've been lucky with the weather on the few fourteeners we've done. We'd talked about doing more this summer but didn't manage to pull a trip together.

We started late (I know very bad since the weather changes so quickly and you are supposed to start early) but we couldn't get the group moving very quickly. We started around 11:45 and got back down at 2:00. We started as a group of 5; Chris stopped at the creek crossing, then we continued to head up with 4 where 2 more stopped at the ridge and headed back down, and my cousin and I continued on. My cousin and I could not see hiking all that way and turning around. Stupid, ya probably, but definitely worth it!
