Jrsy.... can NOT for the life of me understand how ou could be in the doghouse still Surely , you did some of your smooth talking and got out!!! Remember, "you look beautiful, no you don't look fat in that dress, wait, I need to take out the garbage..... " Definately, sending the Pipxie dust this is not the time of year to be in trouble ESPECIALLY with it so cold outside....you don't need it to be freezing INSIDE too. I admire you for trying. Keeping your mouth shut is a VERY hard thing for me to do, but I SO can relate.... the point is.... IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT.

Heidi... I SO remember those days!!! Learned (after the first pipes broke in our trailer in Longmont) to keep the cupboards opened and water running slightly. Man.... I feel bad for you. Lets put it this way.... this won't happen next year!

Marci ~ Are you feeling better today? I still say, hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps (at night) gets you waking up feeling like a new person.

Well, my car is in the shop so I am home today. Do not want to ask DH if I can use the brand new truck (3rd new one this year... he likes to trade them in...). I guess I will go exercise. I can't exercise at Curves b/c I have blisters on my feet from the shoes I wore to the opera the other day. That reminds me, they are going in the garbage.

To all of you peopple who are in the cold think warm I've got sunshine....on a cloudy day...... when it's cold outside, I got the month of May . . . uh oh.... the songster in me is reappearing watch out!!!

Karen - I do make it a habit of drinking hot chocolate at night before bed when it's cold. I'm thinking I need a trip to the liquor store for the peppermint schnapps. I have been trying to get rest but everyday by the time I get off of work I just feel wore out. Maybe this weekend I can catch up on my rest.

Heidi - That just stinks. I'm sorry about your pipes. I never knew that about opening your cabinets. I guess it's because I live in Texas. That is a rare thing to happen here.

Jrsyboy - Keeping a low profile is good. Smile more at her and keep those compliments going. Taking out the trash like Karen said is an excellent idea.

Sandy hope you are staying warm.

Selena - hopefully that snow is still staying away from you.

Jrsy Boy - I see your problem now with your DW, she is an obsessive planner and needs everything perfect. I use to be that way, but now I am not because it isn't worth the stress of everything having to be perfect because NOTHING planned goes off perfectly!!! Hang in there through the holidays!!!! I will be at my DBF Christmas part at Coors Field and I am sure we will go to the Sports Column afterwards....just meet us there if you need a drink. He works for coca-cola, so there will be plenty of pop around!!!

Karen - you are right, the pipe situation will never happen again from now till forever!!!! Who knew.....okay everyone knew but me!!! I am sure everyone learns that trick at one time from a hard lesson learned!!

My cop friend called and told me if I need a plumber he could help me. Luckily my dad and BIL can work on it too if the pipes have a crack or burst. Maybe we should tear down the drywall and put more insulation in.

Actually, I'm not in the doghouse anymore. Sometimes it is just good to get it over with early to get her expectations down. Tonight we will be buying alcohol, so I can lend my vast expertise.

It was even colder walking to the light rail this morning but I got a seat today and there was a heater somewhere near my feet, so I warmed up extremely quickly.

JrsyBoy, I can relate to your DW. I really worry about everything being PERFECT when people are coming over. So, I do feel for you. I am sure I am not real pleasant to be around. I am too busy stressing to pay attention. As dear old hubby says, it always works out.

Heidi, that is good news that Jim volunteered to help. A cop, a gardner and a plumber...nice! Dad was going to call Home Depot to see what is next.

I am thinking about drinking my DIET hot cocoa and adding peppermint schnapps. Somewhat on the diet, right??

First, it was creepy that someone cared where one particular thread was located so much that they posted their *thoughts* over and over. Now, it's downright frightening and sad that someone has *still* been following our thread and reading our conversations even *after* its been moved. Weeks after it's been moved. Why? I love all of you guys and *I* don't have time to follow our conversations so closely all the time! lol! There are so many other threads where they could have a real conversation, learn some facts, or make a friend or two of their own. Why lurk on a thread as some sort of voyeur-cum-moderator?

Anyway, I am off from school today! (snow day! and it's STILL coming down!) so I will be looking for the truffle recipe. I'll post it as soon as I find it. Selena, do you guys ever hae off for weather, or do you not ever get snow? My plans today are to get my grading done, have some Mexican hot chocolate (my boyfriend's best friend's mom gave it to me), get my hair cut (I'm thinking of losing about 5 inches or so of hair!) my eyebrows waxed. (I really wanted a pedicure, but it's too cold) and do some cleaning, including Christmas and Cruise stuff.

I have a huge box I've been tossing cruise stuff into since May or June and I have to go through it and see what really needs to go and what can be eliminated. I printed out a packing list from the disboards and I think I'm overpacking already and I have barely any clothes! Ha! I'm trying to decide how much winter vs summer wear I will need for 6 days in WDW and 4 days on the Cruise. I keep checking weather for Bahamas and Florida to get an idea.

My awesome boyfriend wrapped *all* of our gifts! He's good at it, too. I have a few more little things to pick up and then I'll be done. I got most of our shopping done on Black Friday and then last Friday when we went to the mall together. He was happy cause I did most of the shopping without him and I was happy because he did most of the wrapping.

I went out to dinner on Wednesday and had a fabulous "icebergtini" Sort of blue and pepperminty. Nice.

Karen, did you figure out the onlien ressies? When I booked online, there were some things missing, that you could only book onboard. I didn't see hair braiding online, and I couldn't do the chakra capsules either. I also had to book REAS over the phone. So, if it doesn't work, call them.

How bad is the snow? My parents headed from NJ down to MD for my uncle's funeral/memorial and I suspect they were planning to drive back up today. Hope its not too bad.

I just look at it as everyone loves us enough and our thread is popular enough that they are obviously still reading it even though we moved. Hey Monkeys we are known!!!!

I just found out our office party is a week from tonight. We are eating on a street that is kind of like 5th street in Austin. The whole street is full of bars, clubs & restaurants, after dinner we get a wrist band to go to all the clubs all night. So I'm sure it will be fun

Jrsy.... my smilies haven't worked in a long time. I just have the first page and there are only a few (52) select. It is a bummer. I got spoiled having all of them!!!!
I wanted to book that Rasul thing and also I want to get the rainforest week deal thing also.
I was GOING to go to High Tea with my sister and all of our daughters, kind of in memory of my mom (who was from England....which she is the reason we are taking this family Disney cruise...) but when I found out the 14 and 16 yr olds could not do it, I have changed my mind. I do not want to miss and evening dinner with all my children so I willnot do Palo either.
Also, the BINGO cards..... are they good only for the game you buy them for or are they good for the whole week? (I know what you are going to tell me...)
Yes Lulu, I agree.... I feel as though we have what is it??? The ghost of Christmas past haunting us!!!!! Oh well, I will say no more and do what Jrsy does.
That icebergtini sopunds good... I think??? I don't know...peppermint... I did not end up liking that chocolate minty mix I bought from Target and now Ihave a whole bucket of it in my freezer....party at my house again tomorrow!!!!

Karen, The bingo cards are only good for the session you are playing. If you get the big pack it is $35 the smaller pack is $25. We always got the $35, we spend $175 easy on bingo. I don't think you reserve the rainforest on the internet. Just go buy the week pass when you get there. You will love it in there. I loved the aromatherapy steamroom. The rasul you can definitely reserve online.

I just went shopping at lunch at target where there is a starbucks. I tried the Gingerbread Latte finally and it was soooo good.

Had a terrific day today. My dear Heidi took her and I out for a day at the spa. We had a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. On top of that we had lunch there too. It was soooo wonderful. Stacey, her twin, came too. Memories!! After all we have been through this last 6 months it was time to relax and make new memories. Thanks Heidi.
