Well..... since I was the hostess, I thought I would TRY to take it easy. I decided to drink my 151 and eggnog because it would make me conscious of my carb intake and I wouldn't over do it (and get drunk :confused3 ). IN THE MEANTIME... I started eating my 151 soaked cherries....WELL.... lets put it this way, todays 8 hours of work from 2:30 -11:00 is going to seem like 4 days!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: No, I did ok but my head IS spinning a little if I turn quick!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Aside from that, now all my lights, my tree, my cards, most of my gifts, my funky monkey.... ALL that is done and I can relax and enjot the season!!!!

Karen you head is spinning. I have a cure for that. Put your hands on your ears and hold your head. It can not spin anymore.... :rotfl2:

Good morning Funkey monkeys!!!! Glad you all had a good Thanksgiving.

LuLu - the cabin is actually a home. It is made out of logs and is beautiful but it is huge for a cabin. It is 4 rooms and 4 bathrooms and can sleep about 16 people in beds. It is very nice. They use it as the family vacation home and it was many many acres of land (my bil says its over 1,000 acres). It backs up to a National Forest and we spend hours and hours ATVing on the property and in the National Forest. There is a total of 9 ATV's up there (2 are my sister and BIL.)

Well I noticed my mom hasn't posted yet so I will sum up our crappy holiday.

We were leaving for the cabin on Wednesday. My boyfriend and I were going to ride with my mom and dad. My dad went to the hospital before we left to visit Lou and basically had to tell her that there is nothing the doctors can do to help her and that she should go into hospice. At that time she still did not accept hospice. My dad was very upset and affected but we decided to go to the cabin. The cabin is about 3 hours away and 23 miles away my dad got a call from the Dr. saying that Lou had agreed to go into hospice. We ate dinner at the cabin and my dad was so depressed, quiet and not himself. You could tell he regretted coming to the cabin, so about 4 hours after we got to the cabin my mom and dad headed for home. It was for the best, but it was a very emotional time for my mom, dad, sister and me. Through many tears we said goodbye and they were on there way (about 4 hour drive) to the hospital. My parents spent Thanksgiving at the hospital and had dinner at the Black Eyed Pea.

Well it was a rough weekend, many highs and lows but we made it through. This holiday season is going to be a bad one.

My dad was just not right on Wednesday and it was so sad to see him that way. I am glad he went back home, but after all that has happened this year I really wanted to spend the holiday and the weekend with my parents.

My weekend consisted of, ATVing and paint ball. I have bruises and welts all over my legs from the paintball. Whoever said that paintball doesn't hurt is crazy, but I would do it again in a heart beat...it was exhausting but fun!!!! Came home Friday night sore all over, who would think that riding on the ATV would be so painful the next day, my muscles were so sore. I had fun, but still wished my mom and dad were there. I missed them a lot. I really missed my dad when we went to the National Forest to go ATVing. I did give my uncle and my boyfriend a heart attack there though!!!! Atleast I found out they care!!!

At the cabin I did find out how much I hate the game of Cranium. If I am ever asked to play that game ever again I am going to run far far away!!!

Marcie - Look foward to reading your trip report!!! Another trip, what a great present!!! We missed you!!!!

Thanks, I think I can say for all of us we cannot wait until the year 2005 finally ends. I know I will definitely be celebrating as 2006 rolls in.

Hi guys, not really myself today but wanted to stop in and say hello. Love to all. Welcome home Marcie. We will be waiting for that trip report.

This thread is being moved to the cruise meets thread since the original topic has long ago been addressed. We are keeping it with in the cruise forum since that is how the group that has been formed here met. :)

Hope you all like your new "home."

Have fun!!

Wow. It is so weird getting off the ship and feeling so relaxed and having to get back into the swing of things. I am so glad I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday because I haven't stopped. I took so many pictures it is taking me forever to go through them. I have read so many people say how much they commented on missing the service after cruises. Well, tonight we went out to eat and Aerial says "I miss Kabela our assistant server. She sounded just like what I've read LOL. I miss them too. One of the things I will miss the most is having coffee out on our veranda that room service woke me with. Wow, I live such a hectic life, taking this cruise taught me how to relax....

But, I should start at the beginning. 4:30 sure comes early, but since we were going to Florida we all woke happy and ready for the limo. That was awesome. I usually stress in traffic, but, I didn't see any of the traffice being in the limo, in the middle of Houston. Once we got to Orlando it was very smooth, getting a taxi to take us to our hotel. We checked in early and they had a room ready for us. Within an hour or 2 of landing we were in Dowtown Disney eating at Earl of Sandwich. That has got to be the best sandwich shop I've ever eaten at. We had a nice relaxing evening shopping and we went to the movies. :cool1:
Heidi - I got your antenae ball, it was the first thing I bought. I will mail it to you soon. :earsboy:
Saturday I woke up with a sore throat but just ignored it and we had our breakfast with LIlo & Stitch.

I love those Mickey waffles. We finished our shopping after that at Downtown Disney then we went to the Boardwalk until dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. That was one of our favorite meals, we had a lot of fun. The Wilderness Lodge is so beautiful. It is one of those places I would have never thought to stay in but once I saw it I wish I was staying there. The first 2 days were all about exploring, shopping and eating. We went back to the room early to get ready since Sunday we were moving hotels.

Since it is so late I am going to head to bed I will continue with day Sunday tomorrow morning. I get one more day off to enjoy. :flower:

Marcie - thank you for getting that for me, please let me know how much I owe you. Sounds like your trip started out perfect. I was lucky enough to spend 7 days at the Wilderness Lodge. I loved it there, but we weren't in the Lodge part, we were off at the DVC part. Very beautiful there, amazingly enough I never went to Whispering Canyon!!!! I see your new countdown ticker, very nice!!! I love knowing when I get off the ship that another cruise is booked!!!!

Our new home isn't so bad!!!! It's better than the CB because we may get lost there!!!

Good morning funky monkeys

Okay where was I on my trip report. On Sunday morning we got a taxi and left our hotel to go to the Beach Club Resort. Everything went smooth. We preregistered but a room wasn't available. It was easy getting our luggage secured and we were off to breakfast and we were in Epcot by 10 am. I started feeling a little worse throughout the day. Test track was very cool, we rode that first with very little wait and then we went over to Soarin. I think this was our longest wait the whole trip, about 40 minutes. We didn't bother using any fast passes because there wasn't big enough crowds. Back at the Beach Club we sent some jeans out to be cleaned because it was going to be cold all week. By Tuesday night we were talking to Management about our clothes because we still hadn't gotten them back. The manager said they would reimburse us money if they couldn't find them but late Tuesday night they found them, just in time for us to leave on Wed. I really wasn't majorly impressed with the Beach Club's service. But it was beautiful and it was in a very convient location.

Monday was set to be MGM day. I woke up feeling awful and new I was sick. But, being on vacation I kept smiling and hanging in there. It really is a good thing I was the one getting sick because my DH would have complained the whole time and Aerial would have whined. I was really down though because I was really looking forward to MGM and I felt bad. In the afternoon it started raining which made me worse. We did get to buy cool hoodies while there. I got a tink and Aerial got a stitch jacket. That was the best money Aerial spent, she wore that jacket everyday. If you look at our pictures you would wonder if she ever changed haha. Lights, Motor, Action was a very cool show. We ate lunch at 50s Prime Time which was a lot of fun. We had a great waitress, she was a great actress. Aerial got the PB & J shake, wow that thing is strong. We got incredibles shirts made, I wanted to show you but I dont have a picture of all 3 of us together so I will post 2 pics.

Tuesday morning the really cold weather got there. :cold: It was in the 40s but the wind was really bad. When I woke up, I knew I needed to get to the doctor soon if I was going to be well enough to go on the cruise. I was coughing pretty bad and facing another day in the wind. We had made 8:05 am breakfast at the castle with Cinderella and it was too late to cancel now. I really did not even want to get out of bed. I told Dane that him and Aerial could spend the day in the park while I found a doctor but he said no he would go with me. So, we got up and went to breakfast. After taking the picture in the lobby with Cinderella...

We waited to be called but other people kept getting called. I was just sitting there kind of out of it and finally around 8:45 I told Dane to go see what was up. They had put our ressie card out for the waitress to grab, but somehow it got buried and they lost it. The hostesses were so mad. Here I was feeling horrible and having to wait forever when we had earliest resservations. They ended up giving us a pass to get in a ride early. We got to go right up to the ride. I think we used it on Pirates of the Caribean. We stayed in the parks until early afternoon and then we left and had lunch. We went back to the Beach Club and inquired about our clothes and a doctor. They have one doctor they use that you call and they come to the resort which is what I really wanted. But, when we called it was just a voice mail and they never called back so we got a cab and went to a clinic. The doctor said I had bronchitis. He gave me steroids and antibiotics. Good thing for those steriods, they opened me right up and I started feeling somewhat better by Wed morning. At this point I was thinking the whold trip was a disaster, I was freezing, :cold: sick and they couldn't find our jeans, not to mention the early morning fiasco at the castle. When we got back to the resort I went up to the room and Dane and Aerial went got shakes and me some hot chocolate at Beaches N Cream. I liked that place, but it's small. The hot chocolate was great. I spent the rest of the evening getting rest. While I was resting the first doctor called back and said their voice mail was all messed up and they just got my message. :confused3 Agh this was a very bad day for me, but I did get to see princesses.

Marcie, so sorry you got sick! Don't leave us hanging. We want to see more pics and reports!!

Karen, I am doing better today. Thanks for asking!

Good morning Heidi!

Great pictures Marcie!!! I love those jackets that you bought. That is horrible that you were sick and nothing was going your way. I would hope that they would give you something a little more for your experience at the castle. Did you have to go far for the clinic?

Thanks for posting a trip report for us.

Thank you Sandy, Actually I am still coughing :sad2: But at least I don't feel like I did.

Okay...we had planned to go to Animal Kingdom on Wed. The cruise line at the Beach Club made us breakfast ressies and we were going to get the transportation at AK for the port. Well, I didn't even hear the wake up call, but I was glad because I really needed the rest. We got up around 9 and went down to the Beach Club Marketplace and got some donuts. Dane was really tired and grouchy which was frustrating me because I was sick and yet still going like the energizer bunny LOL. LIke I said, it's a good thing he wasn't the one sick. So, he went back to the room and Aerial and I walked over to the Boardwalk. I had seen a shirt on our second day at the Wilderness Lodge that I didn't buy, you know what they say if you see it get it, I looked all week for it again. Well I wanted to see if they had it at the Boardwalk shop and they did!!! So I bought my shirt, we tried to go to the Boardwalk bakery but something in there was making me cough worse and it was pretty crowded :crowded: so we walked back to the Beach Club to get ready for the trip to the port. :Pinkbounc

Heidi, the clinic was only about 15 minutes away. There were a lot of people in there but we only had to wait an hour or so and they had a pharmacy at the clinic. So before I left I was already taking medicine.

I slept most of the way on the bus, I woke to the driver telling us that we were close and I got to see the boat as soon as it was in view. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I didn't quite get the first inital wow experience sine I wasn't feeling the best. My wow came at dinner the first night. We were sitting there and Aerial says, I am really loving this ship better then Disney World and I looked around at all the magic and that's when I got my wow. This truly was our type of vacation. I am sure that we will go to the parks again since we missed out on a lot but I will never be as excited to go there as I will be to cruise again. :Pinkbounc

Okay we got on the ship and they were telling us to go to Beach Blanket Buffet and we had no idea what we were doing and went straight into Parrot cay. Which really was better for me to be eating inside. After lunch we went to our stateroom to unpack and decorate the door. The gift baskets were on the bed along with a card from the cruise line for our anniversary. I was so surpirsed with the card from Karen that was so sweet and was really just what I needed at that moment.

After unpacking we went to the sailaway party stopping on the way to get a bon voyage drink. I got mine with no alchol not sure if I wanted to drink a whole drink and then I took sips out of Dane's. I should have just got the alcohol haha.

Our dining rotation was TAAP at 5:45. I think I would have rathered 6 or 6:15. Every night we were at least 5 minutes late to dinner. But our table was for just us so at least no one was waiting for us. Aerial got to try escargot for the first time at dinner and quickly decided she did not like it. Dane liked it though and ate all of the rest of it.

Note Aerial's hurt finger LOL. By the last day she wasn't complaining about it anymore, so at least it's better now.
